I remain firm, unwavering, and fully committed to pursuing this matter until justice is served in its entirety.
It is both troubling and unacceptable that Smith Dwayne, also known as “Community,” a young man who sustained a life-altering spinal cord injury while in the service of Buildwell, has not received the level of care, responsibility, and compensation that such a grave incident demands. Situations of this nature are not matters of charity or goodwill — they are clear obligations that rest squarely on the shoulders of the employer. Adequate compensation, medical support, and long-term welfare provisions must be provided to reflect the severity of his condition and the circumstances under which it occurred.
This is not an emotional outcry, but a principled stand for accountability, fairness, and the protection of workers’ rights. No individual who labors in good faith should be subjected to neglect, denial, or exploitation.
I will continue to pursue all lawful and appropriate avenues to ensure that these responsibilities are acknowledged and fulfilled. I will not be deterred, discouraged, or silenced until full justice is achieved — for Smith Dwayne.
