OFFICIAL NOTICE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE STATE CHAIRMAN – COMRADE YAKUBU BAKO (RTEAN – TRICYCLE AND MOTORCYCLE, NIGER STATE CHAPTER)

Dear Members,

We bring to your attention that we have received reports from Paiko Local Government Area stating that tickets are allegedly being sold at the rate of ₦100, whereas in other areas such as Minna (Metal and Poly) the ticket is still being sold at the official rate of ₦50

We want to clearly state that this increase in ticket price is not from the state leadership and the State Chairman, Comrade Yakubu Bako, is not aware of and did not approve such increment

We are taking this matter seriously and have begun an investigation to identify the person or persons responsible for this unauthorized action in Paiko and necessary disciplinary actions will be taken according to the rules of the union

It is true that there has been internal discussion among state executives about the possibility of increasing the ticket from ₦50 to ₦100 in the future but no final decision has been made yet Therefore, as of now, the official and recognized ticket price across Niger State remains ₦50

We are appealing to all members to remain calm and law-abiding, and understand that the leadership is not involved in this sudden increase happening in Paiko

We remain committed to protecting your interests and ensuring that our union is governed with transparency, fairness, and accountability

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE CHAIRMAN – RTEAN (Tricycle and Motorcycle Unit), MINNA, NIGER STATE

Peace and blessings be upon you all. We extend our greetings and deep appreciation to all members of our association for your continuous cooperation and unwavering support.

Under the leadership of our Chairman, Comrade Yakubu Bako, a decision has been made that the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Tricycle and Motorcycle branch in Minna, will increase the daily ticket fee from ₦50 to ₦100.

This decision follows careful consideration and assessment of the challenges the association is facing, especially the lack of adequate funds which has hindered our ability to meet essential needs of our members.

Reasons for the Increase:

The lack of sufficient income has made it difficult for the association to assist members in times of need.

It has limited the ex*****on of key programs and services beneficial to members.

We receive complaints from members, but the association lacks the funds to effectively respond.

Therefore, this increment will help us address these issues and work toward the collective progress of all.

Benefits of the ₦100 Ticket Increase:

1. Emergency Support:
Any member involved in an accident or facing serious health issues can now receive urgent support from the association.

2. Welfare and Relief Support:
Plans will be rolled out to assist members who fall into hardship or emergency situations.

3. Office and Leadership Efficiency:
The additional funds will improve office operations and provide necessary working tools to strengthen leadership.

4. Education and Awareness Programs:
Trainings and seminars will be organized to educate members on transport operations, safety, and personal protection.

5. Unity and Peacebuilding:
The increment will fund programs that promote unity and harmony among all members.

🛣️🚦 Successful RTEAN Tricycle & Motorcycle Meeting – Paikoro LGA area

Alhamdulillah! Today, *Saturday, June 14th, 2025 we held a brief but highly impactful meeting with the leadership of the RTEAN Tricycle and Motorcycle Unit in Paikoro Local Government Area, Minna, Niger State

The meeting was filled with understanding, unity, and a shared vision for progress. We discussed key issues affecting our members and took important decisions aimed at strengthening transport operations and improving the welfare of all members at the grassroots level.

We stood for truth. We set RTEAN on the path of lasting development.
