THE SALVATION THAT CANNOT BE LOST! - 4
Jerry: I welcome you and all our friends to the 4th edition.
John: Thank you Jerry for your kingdom service.
Jerry: Yes! We exited on that 'kingdom note' in the last episode.
John: Very well!
Jerry: Please at what point do we see the kingdom of God, - in this life or after death.
John: There are not a few people who misconstrue what the Lord said in John 3:3.
Jerry: Can't wait!
John: They say Jn.3:3 means to "Receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, so that you can go to heaven when you die"
Jerry: Me too!
John: Not exactly so. You don't have to die to see the kingdom of God.
In Luke 9:27, the Lord told His disciples, "But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God.
Jerry: I've read that too but never understood it.
John: Jesus already brought the kingdom.
The kingdom of God was inaugurated and officially opened to all on the day of Pentecost and since then, many are being translated into it (Col.1:13).
For the kingdom of God is "... righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Rom. 14:17). Only the Holy Spirit can awaken it.
Jerry: What then does it mean to "see" the kingdom of God?
John: The Greek word used for "see" in the context is "eido" and it means,
"to be aware" "to understand" "to be sure."
For example, if a friend is telling you something you didn't understand previously, and all at once, there passes over your face the illumination that indicates you now understand - your reply would be
"I see."
Not because of anything you saw with your physical eyes, but that you now "know, understand or comprehend"
That INSIGHT into a thing that gives the true knowledge of it, is what is means to "see"
Jerry: This is so insightful! I'm on cloud nine!
John: So, to be born again is to be born from above. To be born from a HIGHER REALM where ETERNAL THINGS are CLEARLY SEEN.
Without the birth from above, it is IMPOSSIBLE to see the kingdom of God, because natural men have not been given power to see spiritual things (1Cor. 2:14)
Therefore, to see is to know and understand - Mt. 13:11
Jerry: This is quite revealing!
John: It was said concerning Moses, that "by faith, he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as SEEING HIM WHO IS INVISIBLE" -
Heb 11:27.
Seeing the invisible will make it easy to forsake this world and to do the will of God.
Our manner of life and conversation, our walk of faith and kingdom lifestyle; are only a reflection of what we see - Col. 3:1-5
This is why the Bible remains a closed book to the unconverted and unspiritual people, though they may be very educated; while it is an open book to the least educated of believers.
Jerry: I think that I belong to the latter.
John: The Master said, these truths are "hidden from the wise and prudent and revealed to babes (Mt. 11:25).
A babe is one who is born, and so, until
we are born from above into the kingdom of God, we cannot receive these things into our hearts.
Jerry: Thank you so much elder. I'm seeing clearer now.
John: The Lord be praised!
Jerry: We will meet again in the next episode. Please share with others and keep advancing the kingdom of God.
