AMANYANABO OF THE SOURCE SHINES AS SYMBOL OF UNITY, DONATES ₦20 MILLION TO ST. ALBAN’S ANGLICAN CHURCH OBUAMA (HARRY'S TOWN) IN DEGEMA LGA, RIVERS STATE.

In a historic and heartwarming display of faith, unity, and generosity, the Amanyanabo of the Source, Alhaji Mujahid Abubakr Dokubo-Asari, Dabaye Amakiri I, Amanyanabo of Torusarama Piri, graced the Dedication of the new church building of St. Alban’s (Ang.) Church, Obuama, under the Kalabari West Archdeaconry, Niger Delta Diocese of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), on Sunday, September 14, 2025. He was invited as the Royal Father of the Day, and his presence brought great color and significance to the event.

Despite being a devout Muslim, the revered Amanyanabo demonstrated uncommon leadership and broad-mindedness by identifying with the Christian community on such a landmark occasion. His appearance symbolized the bond of peace and interfaith harmony that Kalabari land has long been known for. Congregants, dignitaries, and traditional leaders in attendance described the moment as a reflection of true statesmanship and fatherhood.

In a move that further underscored his commitment to supporting the growth and development of his people, the Amanyanabo announced a staggering donation of ₦20 million towards the house of God. This contribution formed part of the ₦150 million Endowment Fund launched at the ceremony, leaving worshippers in awe of his generosity and his heart for the community, irrespective of religion.

The atmosphere was electrifying as hymns of thanksgiving filled the air. Parishioners, clergy, and visitors celebrated the remarkable gesture of the Amanyanabo, acknowledging him as a unifying bridge between faiths. The event will be remembered not only as the dedication of a magnificent church building but also as a powerful testimony of love, unity, and the true essence of leadership embodied by the Amanyanabo of the Source.
