Eugene Utubor Pays Courtesy Visit to RTEAN, Edo State, Seeks support for the SHINE agenda of Edo State Governor

* Com Orhue pledge total support for Governor Monday Okpebholo's administration

The Special Adviser to Edo State Governor on Political Mobilization and Engagement, Hon. Eugene Utubor, today paid a courtesy visit to Edo State Secretariat of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, RTEAN, on consultation, to drum up support for Governor Monday Okpebholo's SHINE agenda and the development strides across board in the state.

The visit was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the Edo State Government and transport stakeholders, as well as appreciating the role of RTEAN in maintaining order and peace within the transport sector. He called for cooperation and collaboration towards achieving the 2.5 million votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Utubor thanked the RTEAN leadership for the peace and support of the state government in actualising the dividends of democracy in the state.

“I am here on behalf of the Governor to thank you, Comrade Monday Orhue, and the entire RTEAN family for the sustained goodwill and partnership with Edo State government in the realisation of the SHINE agenda. I also want to appeal to the members to join us in ensuring that the 2.5 million votes target of Edo State government is actualized” he said.

He further noted that the Governor’s administration is committed to engaging all critical stakeholders to ensure political stability and grassroots mobilization across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.

In his response, Comrade Monday Orhue commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for his purposeful leadership and the visible projects being executed across Edo State.

“The Governor has brought back peace and normalcy to our dear state. We are seeing roads, we are seeing order, and we are seeing government working for the people. RTEAN EDO STATE is fully in support of the Edo State Governor, HE Sen Monday Okpebholo and we will continue to collaborate with the state government in ensuring that dividends of democracy are taken to the grassroots.” Comrade Orhue stated.

He assured the Special Adviser of RTEAN Edo State’s continued support and cooperation with the government in driving policies that benefit transporters, commuters, and the overall development of Edo State. He maintained that RTEAN EDO STATE with more than 20,000 members in the state, are in line with the 2.5 million votes target and will mobilize massively for its realization in the Presidential election.

The meeting ended with prayers for the success of the Okpebholo administration and a call for sustained collaboration between government and unions.
