The Management of Olumuyiwa Bernard Aliu Airport organized a one-day Management Retreat for all Heads of Departments on 16th February 2026.
Theme: Building High-Performing Team Towards Sustainable Service Excellence.
The retreat was formally declared open by the Airport Manager, Mrs Adebiyi Yemisi who encouraged all HODs to continue working collaboratively to sustain the Six-Point Agenda of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Management, namely:
Customer-Centric Service
Operational Excellence and Innovation
Effective Governance and Workforce Excellence
Airport Viability
Infrastructural Modernisation
Safety and Security
The programme facilitator Mr Akinro Tai DGM Human Resources delivered a lecture on the importance of teamwork as a critical driver of organizational success.
He emphasized the need for HODs to align their departmental strategies with FAAN’s corporate agenda, particularly in identifying practical ways to improve revenue generation at Akure Airport.
During the interactive session, each Head of Department presented strategic plans aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, improving service delivery, expanding business activities at the airport, and creating attractive opportunities for prospective investors.
The retreat provided a platform for shared vision, collaboration, and renewed commitment towards positioning the airport for sustainable growth and service excellence.
