dua for parents who have passed away

When a person dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: A continuous charity, knowledge that others benefited from, and a pious son who (continues to) pray for him

Rabbana-ghfirlī wa liwālidayya wa lilmu’minīna yauma yaqūmul-hisāb Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the judgment will come to pass. Rabbi irhamhuma k**a rabbayanee sagheera “My Lord! Be merciful to them as they raised me when I was young.” (Surah Al-Isra’ 17:24) رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ Rabbana-ghfirlī wa liwālidayya wa liman dakhola baytī mu’minan wa-lilmu’minīna wal-mu’mināt My Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and whoever enters my house in faith, and all believing men and women (Surah Nuh, 71:28) dua for deceased woman Meaning translation: O Allah, Your servant and the son of Your servant, needed Your mercy, but You do not need his torment! If he did good deeds, then add them to him, and if he did evil, then do not exact from him! Transliteration: Allahumma, ‘abdu-kya va-bnu ama-ti-kya ikhtajya ila rahmati-kya, wa Anta ganiyun‘ an ’azabi-hi! In kyana muhsiyan, fa zid fi hasanati-khi, wa in kyana musi’an, fa tajavaz ‘an-hu! Dua for the deceased Meaning translation: O Allah, forgive him, and have mercy on him, and deliver him (from the torment and temptations of the grave.), And show him mercy, and show him a good welcome (that is, make his lot in paradise good), and make his grave spacious, and wash him with water, snow and hail, and cleanse him from sins, as you cleanse white clothes from dirt, and give him in return a house better than his house, and a family better than his family and a wife better than his wife, and lead him into paradise and protect him from the torment of the grave and from the torment of the fire! Transliteration: Allahumma-gfir la-hu (la-ha), wa-rham-hu (ha), wa ‘afi-hi (ha), wa-‘ fu ‘an-hu (ha), wa akrim nuzulya-hu (ha) , wa vassi ‘mudhal-hu (ha), wa-gsil-hu (ha) bi-l-ma’i, wa-s-salji wa-l-baradi, wa nakky-hi (ha) min al- hataya kya-ma nakkaita- s-sauba-l-abyada min ad-danasi, wa ab-dil-hu (ha) daran hayran min dari-khi (ha), wa ahlyan hayran min ahlihi (ha), wa zaud-zhan hayran min zauji-hi (ha), wa adhyl-hu (ha) -l-jannata wa a’yz-hu (ha) min ‘azabi-l-kabri wa’ azabi-n-nari! Mwamuyamika kale mulungu?🙏🙏🙏

Dear Lord, thank you so much for another day of life on Earth. Thank you for another beautiful sunrise to enjoy. Thank you for the wonderful sounds of nature, from the cool breeze brushing through the trees to the birds singing melodies. You are a wonderful God, full of grace and mercy.

prayer for a sick person🙏🙏🙏🙏

Think, O' God, of our friend who is ill, whom we now commend to Your compassionate regard. that no healing is too hard if it be Your will. We therefore pray that You bless our friend with Your loving care, renew his/her strength, and heal what ails him/her in Your loving name.

Ameen

Allah the Almighty said: O' son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you.

Allahumma inni a’uzu-bika min munkaratil-akhlaq, wal-a’mal, wal-ahwa’

“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from undesirable manners, deeds, and aspirations”

(Sunan At-Tirmizi)

The Prophet s.a.w. tells us the importance of good character in the hadith “There is nothing which will be put on the believer’s scale (on the Day of Resurrection) that is heavier than good morals.” (Sunan At-Tirmizi)

This is particularly mentioned in the Quran:

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا وَ قَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسَّٮهَا

“Successful indeed is the one who purifies their soul, and the one who corrupts it fails.

In honor of the holiday, here are six things you may not know about the role of Jesus — and his mother, Mary — in Islam:

Jesus, Mary, and the angel Gabriel are all prominent characters in the Qur’an (as are Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and a bunch of other Bible characters).

Muslims believe that Jesus (called “Isa” in Arabic) was a prophet of God and was born to a virgin (Mary). They also believe he will return to Earth before the Day of Judgment to restore justice and defeat al-Masih ad-Dajjal, or “the false messiah” — also known as the Antichrist. All of this may sound pretty familiar to many Christians. (The fact that Muslims know that “al-Masih ad-Dajjal” is the Arabic name for the Antichrist created some...uh...unexpected problems for Netflix recently — warning: spoilers.)

Mary (called “Maryam” in Arabic) has an entire chapter in the Qur’an named for her — the only chapter in the Qur’an named for a female figure. In fact, Mary is the only woman to be mentioned by name in the entire Qur’an. As noted in the Study Quran, “other female figures are identified only by their relation to others, such as the wife of Adam and the mother of Moses, or by their title, such as the Queen of Sheba.” Mary is mentioned more times in the Qur’an than in the entire New Testament of the Bible.

Just as they do with all the other prophets, including Mohammed, devout Muslims recite “peace be upon him” after every time they refer to Jesus by name.

Muslims believe that Jesus performed miracles: The Qur’an discusses several of Jesus’s miracles, including giving sight to the blind, healing lepers, raising the dead, and breathing life into clay birds.

The story of Jesus’s birth as told in the Qur’an is also the story of his first miracle, when he spoke as an infant in the cradle and declared himself to be a prophet of God. Here’s the story:

And remember Mary in the Book, when she withdrew from her family to an eastern place. And she veiled herself from them. Then We [God] sent unto he
