We are saddened by the passing of Mr. Einar Ólafsson, Cargolux’s first Chief Executive Officer.

As a visionary leader and pioneer of air cargo, Einar Ólafsson played a fundamental role in shaping Cargolux during its early years. His strategic vision, leadership and entrepreneurial spirit laid the foundations on which our company has continued to grow for more than five decades.

On behalf of everyone at Cargolux, we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.

His legacy will be remembered with great respect and gratitude.

Cargolux recently took part in the , Luxembourg’s largest education and career events for the 4th time.

The event offered the perfect platform to showcase our Aircraft Mechanic Apprenticeship program, present the world of air cargo, and inspire young talents.

A highlight of the fair was the annual contest where our 1st‑year aircraft maintenance apprentice Gasper won 1st place, earning his ticket to WorldSkills Shanghai this September. Congratulations to Jonah and to his colleagues Feller, Weber and Leunessen for promoting our apprenticeship program. 👏
