🌴✨ Ladies Group from India Exploring Sri Lanka | February 2026 ✨🌴

We were delighted to host a wonderful Ladies Group from India who travelled across Sri Lanka from 18th – 23rd February 2026 for a memorable holiday filled with nature, culture, and adventure. 🇱🇰

Their journey began with relaxing beach time in Bentota, followed by an exciting whale watching experience in Mirissa, a visit to the historic Galle Fort, and a stop at the Turtle Hatchery. 🐋🐢

They then explored the beautiful hill country of Nuwara Eliya, visiting St. Clair’s Waterfall, Gregory Lake, and Seetha Amman Temple, before continuing to Kandy to experience the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandyan cultural dance, tea factory visit, and traditional costume photos. ☕💃

The tour also included visits to Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, and a scenic seaside train ride to Colombo, where they enjoyed a city tour and a farewell dinner. 🚂🐘

We had the pleasure of hosting Gary & Linda from Australia on their 12th–26th September 2025 adventure across Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰💛
From exploring the ancient caves of Dambulla and a wild Minneriya safari, to an authentic village culinary experience in Habarana, the sacred Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, and the scenic train ride through Nuwara Eliya to Ella 🚂🌿 – every moment was unforgettable.

Established in 1821, the Royal Botanic Gardens at Peradeniya is a natural beauty, located just close to Kandy. Spanning 147 acres, this stunning garden sits in a loop of the Mahaweli River, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere.

Taste of one of Sri Lanka’s most distinctive boozy beverages: toddy! Toddy is a fermented drink made from coconut syrup and palm sugar, often garnished with unique ingredients like onions and chillies. With a bit more effort, toddy can be distilled into a stronger, rum-like drink called arrack, or further fermented to create vinegar.

Tapping coconut trees for their milky white sap is a serious craft. Expert toddy tappers scale towering coconut trees to collect the milky sap straight from the source. The fresh sap then ferments naturally, transforming into one of Sri Lanka’s signature drinks.
