Clarion Shipping to facilitate first ever cruise to KKS Port

• First-ever luxury cruise liner to call the KKS Port
• Shipping Minister welcomes MS Empress at Jaffna
• First cruise sailing operation around the island

The MS Empress, the first luxury vessel from Cordelia Cruises to Sri Lanka, was welcomed at the Kankesanturai Port (KKS), Jaffna, ushering in a new era of maritime travel and tourism for the Northern region.

As the luxury cruise liner made its inaugural voyage to Jaffna, Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Nimal Siripala De Silva, Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Keith Bernard, and other distinguished officials, along with the Management of Advantis Group, extended a warm welcome to the crew and guests of Cordelia Cruises at the ceremonial welcome held at the KKS Port.

The Travel and Aviation arm of the Advantis Group will serve as the General Sales Agent, while Clarion Shipping, a subsidiary of the Advantis Group, will act as the Port Agent for Cordelia Cruises in Sri Lanka.

Ushering in a new wave of inbound luxury cruise tourists to Sri Lanka, Advantis, the transportation and logistics arm of the Hayleys Group, welcomed the Ms Empress of Cordelia Cruises today.

Leveraging the newly forged partnership with India’s top cruise line Cordelia Cruises, the Advantis team warmly welcomed 1,600 tourists from Chennai, as they made their inaugural stop at the Hambantota International Port.

The MS Empress boasts 796 cabins across five distinct categories, each filled with state-of-the-art amenities, providing unparalleled luxury and comfort to its 1,600 passengers.

Congratulations to Clarion Shipping bowling team who became the 1st Runners up at CASA Bowling Championship tournament 2022.

CASA Bowling tournament was concluded successfully on the 1st of July 2022 at Excel world. Clarion Bowling team delivered its best performance thus becoming the 1st runners up.

The ‘Mohan Pandithage and Nandana Ekanayake Challenge Trophy’ awards ceremony was held recently to recognise the tournament's top-performing badminton and futsal players.

INSEE Cement, Sri Lanka and Clarion Shipping came together to organise the annual tournament once again to strengthen the relationship between the two companies.

The event was graced by the Chairman and Chief Executive of Hayleys PLC, Mr. Mohan Pandithage and Chairman of INSEE Cement Mr. Nandana Ekanayake.
