Nasa gitna talaga 'to ng bukid kaya panay sakahan ang madadaanan and yes, malayo po ito at medyo rough road. Nice place to relax and unwind at kung gusto mong mag-immerse sa province life. πŸ’– Fave spot ko dito yung upper lounge, ang sarap tumambay at tumitig sa maisan habang umiihip ang humid air hahaha.

Nagdala na kami ng mga kakainin dahil medyo malayo nga ang tindahan that time but not sure now kung meron nang malapit. ☺️ Nagluto nalang din kami ng dinner and breakfast since meron naman silang common kitchen.

Hindi na namin na-try yung ibang carabao tour at 4x4 rental kasi kulang na kami sa oras, pero mukang masaya huhu

One of the most recommended restaurants to try when you're in Cabanatuan. Nasa town proper siya kaya madaling hanapin, katapat lang ng Freedom Park. Limited parking lang. Nearby, you can also try Puno's ice cream & sherbet.

Stepping into Vicenticos, para kang bumibisita sa mga lolo't lola mo with the traditional house set-up and comfort Filipino food. First time ko din mag-try ng buro and perfect pala 'to as side dish! Cool ambiance and very probinsya feels. πŸ₯Ή I really love the place as it is and I hope many people will visit and support the restaurant to keep the tradition alive. πŸ’–

I really love trying out modern Pinoy restaurants! Kakaiba lahat, but good different! 🀀 What's interesting ay Filipino dish + another Filipino dish ang fusion. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡­ There's a good variety to cater various levels ng openness mo to experimental dishes.

Must-try yung Crispy Pusit in Squid Ink, hindi ko ma-explain basta try niyo nalang hahaha. Good for 2 na 'tong orders. Actually, marami yung serving than we expected kaya sobrang busog na + may leftovers pa. Recommended din ng iba yung Nilagang Bulalo, Sisig, Seafood Kare-kare with Kasuy at Lechon Roll pero hindi namin na-try. More reasons to go back! πŸ’–

I've always imagined Sagada as a cool, quiet, small town where you can wander aimlessly and go soul searching. My imagination was partly true. Yes, the weather is cool. It is a small town. You can go soul seraching. No, (as a tourist) the destinations are far from each other, but yes, you can walk around if you want to.

Basically, the whole experience made me want to stay there and live anew. It felt peace and quiet, inviting you to slow down and just be.

Aside from the ambiance, what struck me the most was the culture. It feels grounding to witness a culture different culture from what you're used to, especially within your own country.

Food was AMAZING. Everything tasted fresh, simple, and unprocessed. Red rice and etag were instant staples for me.

Personally, what I enjoyed the most was our visit to Cerveza Sagada. Aside from it being a homegrown craft beer producer, they host intimate dinners in their forest cabin and accept only a limited number of guests. Bonus story: I left my hat at Isangwow Cafe. I messaged the page to ask them to keep it for me. They said yes. When a friend visited the cafe after few months, I asked her to get it for me and voila, it's still there! The community was amazing - cherry on top of my Sagada visit.

Needless to say, this was a really a sould-enriching experience. 10/10 will definitely come back for longer stay.

Tips:
- Don't go on long weekends to if you want to enjoy the calm.
- Our homestay was out of the main town so it's a must to have your own vehicle. If you'll be taking the bus, choose an accommodation that's within the main town.

This is a good introduction to Korean food here in the South. Be mindful of the spice level lang kasi maanghang na yung Level 1 for Pinoy taste buds. I recommend the tteokbokki platter kung first time mo at hirap ka mamili kung anong oorderin mo. Sama mo narin yung bibimbap. Haha. Chicken tastes legit Korean chicken. πŸ— Juicy, crunchy, savory. May option ka rin kung gusto mong may kick ng anghang.

Place is very chill. Nice place to stay kung gusto mo lang tumunganga.

May area where you can do meditation and yoga + they serve vegan dishes! Kung gusto mo naman ng other activities, may surf and 4x4 rentals sa beachfront. May nearby bars din for nightlife, tapos pag cool down na, tambay ka sa porch + bonfire watching. 😌

Gets ang Michelin recognition! The restaurant prides itself on having modern takes on Filipino dishes without losing its soul. πŸ’–

We tried some Pinoy classics like inasal and liempo. I love how they were able to maintain that homey feeling while serving a premium taste. The crispy noodles in the pancit canton and the blanched (or sautΓ©ed?) gising-gising both gave texture to the food. Personally, it's a new experience but I won't say better than the classic way.

Will come back to try other menu items!
