Wolmi Park (Wolmi Korean Traditional Garden)

A tranquil traditional garden rests at the top of Mt.Wolmi. The reflecting pool with scattered lotus flowers whisper of a time long past, the Joseon Dynasty in medieval Korea. This garden opened in Oct 2007 as a re-creation of the royal garden in Changduk Palace.

On the other side of the garden, there are replica houses, both upper and lowe class, from that era. The roofs of the commoners houses are close to the ground and made of straw, creating an intimate atmosphere.
Visitors can reach up and touch the ceiling, bringing them back in history. A man-made pond, stream, waterfall, and rice paddles surrounded the area to complete the setting of a traditional villige.
