Have you ever wanted to give back, but didn’t know how? Or maybe knew how, but didn’t have enough time? US TOO!! That was until we discovered the world of knowledge and skill based volunteering! Yep, it’s a thing.

We’ve learned using our specific strengths & expertise to give back in small, but meaningful ways can have a HUGE impact on an organization or community and be accomplished with only a few hours of time!

Here’s a recap of a recent event we held for local students in Siem Reap, Cambodia to give an example:

Event Title: How to Ace an Interview
Event Type: Panel + Mock Interviews
Event Duration: 2 hrs
Prep Time: 2 hrs (including marketing & content creation)
Post Event Follow-up: 30 min
Total Hours Committed: 4.5 hrs

Today is a special day!...why? It’s this beautiful, inspirational, & all around incredible woman’s birthday!
Who is this woman you ask? Her name is Sarah, & she is the founder of an AMAZING co-working space in Hoi An, Vietnam.
It’s called & honestly, it’s the best co-working space we’ve found! From the thoughtful design, to the incredible food, to the community that inspires partnership & fosters collaboration + development, it has it all😊.
It was here, with the support of this generous woman, that a group of us came together to host a great event for the local community! It was a small event on how to use , and to help grow their businesses! It was super special as it’s proof that this social good experiment, MicroGive, works!...especially when you bring like minded people together! As Sarah mentioned multiple times as we prepared for the event:
“Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.”
So with that, cheers to you, Sarah! For bringing together an incredible community & being a wonderful human! We hope you have an incredible day, where YOU are celebrated for the person you are & the people you inspire! Please know we are forever grateful for our week together!

Our passion is to inspire fellow travelers to go beyond the resort, to get connected with local cultures, and enrich their experience abroad by using their strength, skill, or talent to give back in small, meaningful ways.

Here’s a recap of a recent event we held with the incredible Coral Gardeners. Their passion for saving the reef is contagious, so much so that they were just featured on National Geographic and were the inspiration behind the ‘50 Minutes to Save the World’ documentary! Their openness to receive help was so fun to experience and they will forever have a special place in our hearts! If you haven’t heard of them, check them out, get involved, and be a part of the movement by adopting your own coral today!

Together, with 53 fellow travelers, we…
• Contributed over 140 hours of volunteer support
• Cut over 600 pieces of Bamboo
• Gathered over 300 Broken Coral
• Constructed 284 Coral to be re-planted
• Built a photo booth and painted furniture
• Knowledge Transferred /Consulted on Key HR, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, & Data Analytics Information
• Donated 20 items from their wish list (equating to nearly $1k!)
• Got them signed up for a google NGO account
• Created 53 new ocean reef advocates!

Pretty cool, huh!

Next up, South East Asia & India! We’ve found a few really incredible NGOs, but we’re looking for a few more in the coming months – if you know of any great up and coming NGOs or start-ups doing social good, please DM us – we’re geo-mobile!

Our Story

This is US! Matt & Tara. Two Americans with a not-so-American dream...newly married, and on an adventure of a lifetime! We packed everything we own into a 5x10 storage container, and now we’re off to explore this beautiful world, get connected, and give back along the way!!!

We don’t know where this journey will take us, but what we do know is we hope to inspire others to get involved, no matter how large or small your involvement might be as you travel. We’ll be posting more about MicroGive and our adventures pursuing this passion project around the 🌏🌎🌍, so stay tuned!
