No one moves on faster than a Disney map. 🫢

As of yesterday morning, Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat are gone from Magic Kingdom’s map—erased overnight after more than 50 years of quietly enchanting guests since May 20, 1973.

And the Liberty Belle wasn’t just for show—she was a real steam-powered paddlewheel boat, guided by an underwater track but truly moved by her massive rear wheel. She was even built right here at Walt Disney World, assembled in a dry dock behind Magic Kingdom. From her decks, you could catch some of the park’s most hidden gems: the full facade of the Haunted Mansion, a tucked-away smoking cabin, and the warm waves of cast members and characters along the Frontierland parade route.

It was one of my favorite ways to slow down and breathe—especially when Julian was little and we’d wander the island trails or bounce across barrel bridges like we had the whole place to ourselves. I wish I had more photos from those moments. That whole corner of the park always felt personal, like it was waiting just for us.

The map may have moved on, but we haven’t yet... 🥺

Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island are closing tomorrow after more than 50 years of quietly enchanting guests since May 20, 1973. It’s been a while since we’ve explored this corner of Magic Kingdom, but it’s always been one of my favorite ways to slow down and soak in the stillness. The views from the boat—especially of Haunted Mansion—are unmatched, and I’ve always loved how characters from the Frontierland parade route take a moment to wave to guests sailing by on the Liberty Belle.

Julian loved exploring the island when he was little, and I wish I could find more photos from that day. It’s a piece of the park that felt personal—like it was waiting just for you.

Here’s to the quiet corners of the park—the ones that never needed a Lightning Lane to leave a lasting memory. 🛶💫

We had such a fun 4th of July—just me and Julian soaking up the sun at Great Waves Waterpark! ☀️💦 It was hot, the waves were wild, and Julian was all smiles all day long! 😁

We rode two water slides (he won both times, of course 😅), floated through all three wave levels in the pool, and laughed ourselves silly during level 3—total inner tube bumper car chaos!!! 💦

The splash pad was closed, which was kind of a bummer, and we waited in line for 50 minutes weaving through the parking lot, only to find out at the window that season pass holders have a separate entrance. No signs, no staff walking the line—it was a mess. But once we were in, it was pure summer magic! ⛱️🕶️☀️

There’s one video I took that I can’t stop replaying—Julian reaching for my hand and playing with my fingers while we bobbed in the wave pool. I hope that never goes away, no matter how big he gets. 🩵🥹

It was an awesome afternoon full of sun, splashes, and sweet summer memories. 🩵🥰

✨Referral magic in action!✨
It’s always an honor to plan someone’s very first Walt Disney World vacation—but even more special when it comes through a referral. 🥹🩷

This sweet family did all the things—from Chef Mickey’s (Wyatt’s favorite!) to a real-life veterinary appointment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom that lit up Makenna’s future-vet heart. 🩺🐆

When their aunt decided to tag along, I made sure she was included in all the planning—and that they had joining rooms for even more magical moments together! ✨

They also took the adventure beyond the parks to Discovery Cove, where they swam with dolphins, wandered the aviary, and spotted sharks! 🐬🦜🦈

These are the threads core memories are made of, and I’m so thankful to be the fairy behind the scenes. The kids are already talking about their next trip… maybe a cruise next time? 😉🚢

From client to friend—watching April and her sweet daughter Penelope live their Disney dream this week has filled my heart to the brim. 🩷🩷🩷

Penelope met my favorite gal Daisy at Cape May Cafe (!!!), made silly faces with Donald, and has spotted Flounder every single day at Disney’s Beach Club Villas! (Did you know each Disney Resort has their own unique hidden mascot to find—Beach Club’s is Flounder!) 🐠✨

Getting these kinds of updates while clients are in the magic never gets old—it’s what makes this job so special. Thank you for sharing the joy with me, April. Disney Adulting brought us together, but friendship keeps the magic going. 🥰💫

I spent the weekend soaking up the magic in Old Town Alexandria, celebrating their 16th Anniversary! 🎉 This beloved local shop is known for fostering a vibrant community of fibre enthusiasts, offering a curated selection of hand-dyed yarns and unique fibres, along with top-notch classes and events. 🧁 They had eats, treats, and a fabulous 16% discount across the store—how could I resist?

I joined a workshop with the incredible Olga Buraya-Kefelian, learning to crochet an origami raffia bag (the pattern’s on Ravelry if you’re curious!). It was the kind of weekend that filled my creative cup to the brim. 🧶

🌈 I connected with someone at a beginner knitting class I took with my mom this winter, and now we’ve become fast friends—hanging out outside of class and diving deeper into this warm, welcoming little community. Everyone treats me like I’ve been part of the crew for years, and it truly feels like a happy, safe space right in the heart of Alexandria. 🫶🏼

Hi, friends. 😌

It’s been a quiet week on here—life’s had me a little more inward than usual for a mix of reasons. But yesterday morning reminded me how good it feels to slow down and savor the little things.

I threw on my pink Magic Kingdom sweatshirt, filled up my new Corkcicle with my favorite Joffrey’s resort blend, and headed out with my family—off to catch the new LILO & Stitch live-action movie.

It was a simple morning, but it felt like a spark of everyday magic—and I couldn’t help but snap a little selfie to remember it.

Just a reminder: the magic doesn’t always come from fireworks or big adventures. Sometimes, it’s coffee in your favorite mug and a heart full of nostalgia.

Did you know today is Kermit the Frog Day? 💚 That’s right—our favorite green icon is officially celebrated every May 9th! From singing about the “Rainbow Connection” to reporting live for Sesame Street News Flash, Kermit has been melting hearts since 1955. 💚

And get this—I picked out a green and pink outfit a whole week ago without even realizing it would be Kermit Day. 💚 Total coincidence… or Muppet magic? ✨ Either way, it was the perfect fit! 🌈💚

Here’s to the most relatable frog we know—it’s not easy being green, but he sure makes it look good! 😊

⏰ Adventureland is getting a brand-new hideaway for rogues, rebels, and rumrunners—and I cannot wait! 🏴‍☠️

Introducing The Beak and Barrel, opening later this year at Magic Kingdom Park—a pirate pub bursting with history, mystery, and a whole lot of character.

Founded by the legendary Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn (retired rumrunner, eternal rogue) and her loyal first mate Rummy—yes, that talkative parrot perched high above the bar—this tavern is ready to welcome swashbucklers of all ages. ☠️🦜

Inside, you’ll find:
🍽️ The Mess • once a Spanish soldiers’ mess hall, now a candlelit gathering place with long tables, shipwrecked woodwork, and an anchor chandelier dripping with wax.
💀 A bar • built from the bones of a cursed shipwreck—complete with a skull-shaped stern and the Enchanted Rum Bottle, gifted to Merry by Tia Dalma herself!
🦜 Rummy • who keeps the bar lively with pirate tales, toasts, and maybe a few secrets from his seafaring days (you might recognize him from the original Barker Bird outside Pirates of the Caribbean)!
🪶 The Captains’ Quarters • a richly layered room once belonging to a Spanish Comandante, now scorched and sliced by mischievous pirates. Watch closely—five ships in glass bottles above the fireplace might just come to life and reenact legendary battles! ⚓️
