Today I'd like to share two examples with you of How Language Changes. While doing research for a novel I am writing that takes place in the mid-1800s, I came across the two phrases in the title of this video: The Japans and Japanned. These are phrases that were commonly used back then, but not any more. Can you guess what they mean? The video gives the details.

This video combines two concepts.
1. AI Text-to-Speech Technology, using a program called Speechelo.
2. A brief introduction to my very own short, quirky fiction, mainly stories about Japan.

Text-to-Speech Technology, as you may know, is pretty good, but not perfect yet. You can hear that here; in its inability to catch nuance, and inflection. And Japanese words are a real bitch!

As for my stories, well...I think they're pretty good!

Note: I'd also like to mention that my story; The Shunga Tales; is actually still a work in progress. I've published Part One, but there is lots more to come!
