One more post for today. We have been missing Japan so much that for Christmas we were given the gift of a live "walk through" of Asakusa last night. We have been there before but it was nice to be able to talk to our guide from afar and revisit one of our favorite places! We learned a few things we didn't know before and even did some shopping! Technology is truly amazing. I wanted to cry seeing the country where my soul truly lives! Shopping was easy too, he turned the camera around so we could see inside a few shops were locals go (we told him what we were interested in). We bought a couple things! Our guide put us on "speaker" so we could speak to the shop owners to thank them with our rusty Japanese! Very, very cool and wonderful experience! If you are missing Japan and want to "visit" before you can go back, this is one way to do it!

We have noticed more people looking at this page lately, thank you! We have not updated in a long time but we still have so many pictures and stories to share and we will start doing so. Japan really is our happy place and we over-research everything!! We have a lot of insight and will happily answer any ..almost any question should anyone have one! We are tentatively planning our next trip for Oct. 2022. We remain hopeful but realize the world may not be ready for us to visit at that time and will just push it forward until we can travel safely again. Do something that makes your heart and soul happy today, just be safe doing so.

TeamLab "Planets", a purpose-built art installation that includes rooms full of water and digital projections. It was amazing...once we survived the beanbag room where we both thought we were going to be stuck.

The storm has moved north of where we are, so its quiet. Our hotel didn't suffer any damage despite the earthquake and some wind gusts that literally shook the building.

Appearantly Jason's happy place exists and it's a cookie shop in Harajuku.

So delicious. If there is a line at a restaurant... get in it!

The rain makes Tokyo look so amazing! We arrived just fine and headed out to 7/11 for some quick food before going to sleep. 7/11 in Japan has some seriously delicious food.
