Hiroshima was beautiful & tragic at the same time. The Dome remains untouched since the atomic bomb dropped on August 6, 1945. The area surrounding it, once levelled, is now the Peace Park including several monuments, memorials and a museum. Everything has been very well done. The highlight for me was meeting Kasokasan, a Hibakusha, or atomic bomb survivor who was 12 when the bomb dropped and is now 93. She has made it her mission to speak about her journey so this will never happen again. I also loved Miyajima Island with the floating Tori gate, wild roaming deer, cold beer and grilled oysters. ⛩️ 🦌 🦪 🕊️
