Established in 1948, the long-standing Harimaya Chaho Honten has been beautifully renovated and reopened in September 2023✨

While the retro-style sign with the traditional “Harimaya Chaho” lettering remains, the interior blends natural wood tones with modern design for a calming atmosphere✨

This bright and welcoming space is perfect for people of all ages to visit, offering a wide selection of carefully chosen tea leaves from all over Japan, as well as their original brand “t to” 💚.

“t to” is a stylish and easy-to-use tea bag brand known for its vibrant designs 🌿💕 And starting in December, they are offering a new “Chakabuki” experience, where you can learn the art of tea preparation from a certified tea master (with a 5th-grade tea certification) 🍵

🍶 A Gentle-Tasting Sake – “Shugetsu” by Kariba Kazushuzo, Crafting Sake That Protects Satoyama and Farmland

Kariba Kazushuzo is a sake brewery located in the peaceful area of Haganoya, about 6 km from the Tamba Sasayama IC. Founded in 1916 (Taisho era), it has been producing sake with care for over 100 years 🍶

The brewery’s signature sake is Shugetsu, and today it is led by the fourth-generation owner, Kazutatsu Kariba, along with master brewer Naoki Takeuchi.

In 2022, they began supporting the “Michinomukou” project, aiming to create a model for preserving satoyama (the traditional rural landscape) that will last for 100 years. With this initiative, they’ve started producing new, high-quality junmai sake alongside their members 🍶✨.
