Princess Cruises Is Bringing Back the Amazon River!

If South America is on your travel bucket list, this is exciting news!

For the first time since 2014, Princess Cruises will return to the Amazon River during its 2028–2029 season.

And that’s not all. One of the highlights will be a brand-new 64-day voyage aboard Coral Princess, circumnavigating South America and visiting Antarctica, with a transit through the Panama Canal along the way.

Here are a few more highlights of the upcoming season:

* Coral Princess: South America, the Amazon River, Antarctica and the Panama Canal on select voyages.
* Majestic Princess: 13 departures covering 11 different itineraries in South America.
* Panama Canal cruises: Five ships will offer sailings through the canal, with itineraries ranging from 16 to 20 days.
* A new Canadian destination: Îles de la Madeleine, located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, joins the lineup.

The 2028–2029 season is already on sale, with early booking incentives available through February 16.

AmaWaterways Is Bringing Machu Picchu Into the River Cruise Experience!

Flying to Los Angeles? There’s a New Airport Terminal to Know About!

Hollywood Burbank Airport has officially opened its brand-new passenger terminal, replacing the old facility that had been around for nearly 100 years.

Located about 20 miles north of LAX, Burbank is another option for travelers visiting the Los Angeles area, especially if your plans take you to Hollywood or nearby attractions.

Here’s what’s new:

* A modern 355,000-square-foot terminal with more than 50% additional space
* 14 gates, with all ticketing, security and baggage claim under one roof
* Wider corridors and more spacious gate areas
* Updated TSA checkpoints and baggage screening
* Power outlets at every seat and digital displays throughout the terminal
* A new seven-level parking garage with more than 2,000 spaces

One thing that hasn't changed: passengers will still board their flights outdoors.

The airport serves several major airlines, including Southwest, Alaska, American, Delta, United, JetBlue and Breeze, along with other carriers.

Travel tip: When booking flights to the Los Angeles area, don't automatically choose LAX. Depending on your hotel, attractions and transportation plans, Hollywood Burbank Airport may be a more convenient option.

Sometimes, choosing the right airport can make the beginning of your vacation a whole lot easier!

Breeze Airways Is Expanding — And Myrtle Beach Is Getting a Lot More Flights!

If you like having more options for your next getaway, here’s some airline news worth watching.

Breeze Airways is planning a major expansion in 2027, adding four airports to its network: Boston, Buffalo, NY, Latrobe, PA, and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

But there’s more! Myrtle Beach is getting a big boost, with 11 additional destinations planned throughout 2027.

Some of the new nonstop routes from Myrtle Beach will connect travelers to:

* Boston, Massachusetts
* Buffalo, New York
* Columbus, Ohio
* Portland, Maine
* Burlington, Vermont
* Portsmouth, New Hampshire
* New Haven, Connecticut
* Syracuse, Albany and Stewart, New York
* Latrobe, Pennsylvania

Most of the new Myrtle Beach routes are expected to launch in late May 2027, with other services starting at different times throughout the year.

Breeze is also adding a new international route between Tampa and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, starting June 18, 2027.

With these additions, Breeze plans to serve 95 destinations in 2027!

More routes can mean more choices for your next vacation, so if you live in the Carolinas, this is an airline to keep an eye on.

🚢 Disney Cruise Line may be saying goodbye to cruise key cards… at least for a little while!

Disney is testing something new aboard the Disney Treasure: wearable wristbands instead of the traditional Key to the World cards.

Here’s how it works:

✨ Guests with a DisneyBand+ can use their existing bands, which will be activated at check-in.

✨ Guests without one will receive a wearable wristband during check-in.

✨ At the end of the cruise, the wristbands must be returned at the terminal.

But before you get too excited, this is only a limited test on one sailing. Disney has not announced any permanent change, and these wristbands won't work on other Disney cruises or in the Disney parks.

One question still remains: how will guests handle staterooms that require a physical card to activate the lights and air conditioning?

Disney is testing new ways to make cruising easier, but we'll have to wait and see if this one becomes permanent!
