DOWN HERE 👇 and SAVE THiS 📍

travel can be so stressful for kids, even for my teenager. so i’m always trying my best to keep us calm wherever we can.

here are the cards that made our last few domestic and international trips so much more manageable (aka calmmaxxing, lol):😆

1. Citi AA Executive card >—

lounge access to Admirals Club and Alaska Lounge when flying AA or AS, even in economy. best part: you can bring your immediate family, including kids.

2. Amex Platinum >—

yes, hefty fee, and yes centurion is a whole other conversation. but what i actually use it for is Delta Sky Club access when flying Delta domestic. we’re in SF so not heavy Delta users,

but with the new nonstop LAX-HKG route, we flew Delta to LAX first and the lounge access made that domestic leg so much easier.

we run a primary card plus authorized user cards and it’s worth it ... my daughter told me she’d rather finish her homework in the lounge than sit at a noisy gate.

3. Chase Ritz-Carlton > —

my forever keeper card. so generous with authorized user cards when most competitors charge extra for them. anywhere you see Priority Pass or Chase Sapphire lounges, this card is the one in the wallet.

saved our sanity on domestic trips and international ones back / out of Hong Kong too.

4. any card labeled Mastercard World Legend >—

not many people know this, but Mastercard has these hidden lounges in São Paulo, HKG, and soon Mexico City.

you can bring 3 guests without any fees and they serve a real menu, not a buffet. i went to the HKG one and it was quiet and genuinely calming.

Bilt, Citi Strata Elite, Citi AA Executive, and Citi AA Globe are all World Legend cards if you are creditcarding in the States and get you in free with 3 guests if you travel as a family like we do, it’s a no-brainer.

5. HSBC card — >

this one’s unique because it comes with a Delay Lounge Pass. obviously we hope for zero delays, but when they happen, this makes it so much calmer.

Share with your friends who either travel solo, or with family, they will thank you 🙏

📍Days 1–10: Assess before collecting anything.

Most families jump straight to credit card bonuses and end up with points that don’t fit their trip.

I’d start with the real questions first:
Are we 2 adults and 2 kids, or 3 generations traveling together?
Can we only fly during spring break, or do we have flexibility?
Do we want lie-flat seats, or just want everyone in the same cabin?

That answer decides everything else.

📍Days 11–30: Pick the airlines before the card.

This is where most families lose months.

They chase a “great deal” that only has 1 seat available useless for a family of four.

I’d check which airlines release multiple seats on the routes we want, then work backward to the points program built for that airlines. Not the other way around.

📍Days 31–60: Build points on purpose here’s what most families get backwards.

They think spreading across 8 different cards means more options. It’s the opposite.

I’ve seen families collect for a full year and still come up short, because their points sit in programs that don’t transfer to the airline they actually need.

I’d pick 2–3 programs, max, and give each one a job: this one for flights, this one as backup.

📍Days 61–90: Act with the right timing and tools.

Award seats for a family of four don’t sit around waiting . they open in a small window and disappear fast.

I’d know exactly when an airline like ANA or Cathay releases Business Class seats, and their close in pattern which of my points move there fastest,

and which tool actually shows a good overview instead of guessing and refreshing a page for weeks.

📍By day 90, we wouldn’t have boarding passes yet. ❌

But we’d have a real plan, points working toward the right airline, and the confidence to act the second 4 seats open together instead of watching another family beat us to it.

It’s because we have a SYSTEM.

That’s the A.S.I.A. Method:
Assess your priorities,
Select the right airlines and seats,
Intentionally build your points,
Act with the right timing and tools.

Save this if your family’s airlines points ( = money) are scattered across a bunch of accounts doing nothing.

here’s the part the clips don’t show 👇

the secret system that took me from that layoff to that stage , 4 things i do on repeat:

1. build the asset 🧠 : i turned the messy system i used to fly my own family to asia into a real framework, so i had something worth teaching.

2. show up consistently 📱 : i post every single day, stay close with my email insiders regularly and i never just forward info . i run it through the family lens first

3. be in the room 🤝 i intentionally go to the events in person and build real relationships, not something transactional.

4. keep asking after the “no” 📖: rejected for my dream stage in 2024, i submitted again in 2025. did the best as I can and ultimately invited to speak again in 2026 … that’s the whole secret.

I almost forgot how LITTLE they were. 🥹🇹🇭

Benny + I have talked about Thailand more times than I can count … family trips, school breaks, and even whether we could retire there one day. 😂

And looking back at these photos reminded me of something:

Our trips were definitely not perfect.

We got lost. The kids got tired. There were days everyone was basically melting like Olaf. ☃️😂

But somehow, those imperfect trips became some of our favorite family memories.

And even after all those trips, there are STILL things about Thailand I wish someone had just told me.

What’s worth it? What’s not? Where should we stay? What do we actually need to know?

So I asked my friend Ben from Ben's Big Deal who knows Thailand REALLY well , if we should just get together and talk about it.

So this Wednesday, we are! 🇹🇭

i used to think flying business class was just... a rich people thing.

something you were either born into or you weren’t.

i’d see those lie-flat seats and feel that little pang 💢wow‼️
but also, that’s not for people like me.

then i moved to the States in 2017
and couldn’t even get approved for one US credit card.

zero credit history.
completely invisible to the system.
and it was humbling.

i was trying to build a whole life for my family here and i couldn’t get past step one.

so i figured it out:

how credit actually works in the US.
how to become visible in the financial system.
and how to take the exact money we were already spending groceries, gas, all of it and turn it into airline miles and points.

and that one shift changed everything. 🔂

now we fly business class back home to asia every year.
sometimes two or three times.

same spending we were always doing, just finally working for us instead of just paying $8000 for economy class. ( sometimes more than this during winter break)

it was never about being wealthy.
it was about being intentional.
and once i saw that, i couldn’t unsee it. 💛
