The Isle of Wight has meant many things to us over the years — family weekends, long walks, pub lunches, ferry crossings, and making happy memories with people we loved.
Mark’s Mum and Dad retired there, so we spent many weekends exploring the island together, discovering everything from the royal splendour of Osborne House to dramatic coastal scenery at The Needles, charming villages, steam trains, castles, and peaceful hidden corners.
I’ve just completely refreshed and republished my guide to the best things to do on the Isle of Wight, packed with ideas and inspiration if you’re planning a visit.
Whether you love history, slower travel, coastal walks, nostalgic days out, or simply places with real character, I think the Isle of Wight is rather special.
