नापणे - शेर्पे धबधबा (Napne-Sherpe Waterfall) | वैभववाडी | सिंधुदुर्ग |
नापणे - शेर्पे धबधबा: वर्षभर सतत वाहणारा हा बारमाही धबधबा कोकण विभागातील नापणे धबधबा हा त्याच्या ऋतू स्वरूपासाठी ओळखला जातो. वैभववाडीपासून जेमतेम १५ किमी अंतरावर तर वैभववाडी रोड रेल्वे स्थानकापासून फक्त 4 किमी अंतरावर. नाधवडे येथील महादेव मंदिराच्या नजीक असलेल्या दगड कपारीतून पाण्याचा एक प्रवाह वर येतो. तोच हा नदीचा प्रवाहा पुढे नापणे धबधब्यापर्यंत जातो. १०० फुट उंचीवरून खाली कोसळणारे पाणी, त्यातून निघणारे पाण्याचे दवबिंदू, धबधब्यामुळे निर्माण झालेला ४० फुटाचा डोह नापणे धबधब्या जवळ राहाण्यासाठी व खाण्यासाठी उत्तम सुविधा उप्लब्धब आहे.

Harishchandragad trek is one of the most challenging treks in the western ghats of Maharashtra. It is located on the left side of Malshej Ghat on the border of Thane, Pune and Nagar districts.
Taramati peak (1424 metre), Rohidas peak (1412 metre) and Upper fort-Balekilla (1390 metre) are the three peaks in Harishchandragad. Taramati peak is, in fact, the fourth highest peak in Maharashtra state.

Harishchandragad Fort is very ancient. It's reference has been mentioned in ancient scriptures like Matsyapurana, Agnipurana etc. The various constructions and carvings on the fort and those in the surrounding region indicate the existence of diverse cultures. Saptatheertha Pushkarni, Kedareshwar cave, Harishchandreshwar temple and other caves are the examples for that.

There are 3 popular routes to get to the fort. One via Khireshwar Village, via Nalichi Vaat (Extremely difficult) and the easiest one via Pachnai Village.

KOHOJ FORT (कोहोज किल्ला):
Kohoj Fort is about 800 years old and belongs to Bhoj-Dynasty. Kohoj Fort was built by King of Gujarat, later Portuguese captured in 16th Century. When Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj surrendered some forts to Mughals under the Treaty of Purander, Kohoj fort was one of them. Later, in 18th century, Great Peshwas conquered this fort
in their campaign of 1737. Afterwards the fort remained under
the British rule. The top most peak of Kohoj Fort has Man-Shaped pinnacle which
formed due to continuous wind erosion process. This pinnacle is the main attraction of Kohoj Fort.

The Rajmachi Fort:
The Rajmachi Fort is one of the most fascinating historic place in the Western Ghats that has witnessed the rule of several kingdoms.
The fort was built by the Satavahanas but gained its fame under the rule of Shri Chhatrapti Shivaji Maharaj, who took over the fort in 1657. chhatrapri Shivaji Maharaj fortified and expanded the fort by adding several structures on the fort.
Rajmachi Fort has two fortified peaks, Shrivardhan and Manaranjan, with a wide plateau separating the two peaks.

How To Reach: There are two ways to reach the Rajmachi fort
1. One is from Lonavala, roughly 15 km flat walk with scenic view & valley view. From Lonavala, route to reach Udhewadi (base village of Rajmachi fort) is Lonavala – Kunhe village – Della adventure Park – Udhewadi
2. Other one is from Karjat, a gradual climb/ trek of around 5 km. From Karjat -Shree Ram Bridge, catch a shared Auto / Private vehicle to reach Kondhane village. From here trek starts & On the way, you can also visit the beautiful Kondhane Caves.

This historic place is frequently visited by trekkers also can be completed in a one day.
Rajmachi is one of the best camping destination because of long trek/trail. Food and stay facilties can be made available by villagers at Udhewadi village.
