We continue our follow-up visits to the schools for the new year and went to Dolhara & Poshera High at Mokhada. The visit was refreshing and we reflected on our learnings.
Every child at Poshera High, leaving a few who travel by bus and a few who have accessed the governement scheme, now has a bicycle. This universalised access within the school has worked wonders, enabling all children to feel the responsibilityof having a bicycle and sharing this resource.
As for Dolhara High, 31 cycles were distributed to select students who needed it the most and a targeted approach was considered more suitable for the school. However, the area just started receiving accessible transport services in the form of a bus by the government last July. This has already made a huge difference to the walking time taken by the students. This inidicates to us that the bicycles could be used in a different way and we are working towards brainstorming with the shcool staff regarding this!

Thank you to the school staff and students for all their support!
