മഞ്ഞണിഞ്ഞ സുന്ദരി……..

കോഴിക്കോട്നിന്ന് 50 കിലോ മീറ്റര്‍ വടക്ക് കിഴക്ക്. സമുദ്രനിരപ്പില്‍ നിന്ന് 3003 അടി ഉയരെ. അവിടെ എന്തര് കാണാനെന്ന് ചോദിക്കരുത്. ‘ മഞ്ഞുകളും മലകളും ഭയങ്കര ചന്തങ്ങളും തന്നെ’. വേണ്ടത്ര താമസസൗകര്യമൊക്കെയുണ്ട് ‘മലബാറിലെ ഊട്ടി’മിനി ഊട്ടി എന്നൊക്കെ വിളിക്കാറുണ്ട് . അതൊക്കെ പോട്ടെ ...
ഹെയര്‍പിന്‍ വളവുകളും തല്ലിപ്പൊളി റോഡും പിന്നിട്ട് തനി മഴക്കാടുകളും ചോലവനങ്ങളും അളുരുവിയുമൊക്കെയുള്ള, പൊന്‍വെളിച്ചം വീഴുന്ന ഈ മലമുടിയില്‍ ഒന്ന് വന്നുനോക്കൂ. രാവിലെ പരസ്പരം കാണാനാവാത്ത മഞ്ഞ്. ഉച്ച തിരിഞ്ഞാല്‍ കാറ്റോട് കാറ്റ്. മരങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ പുകപോലെ ഉയര്‍ന്നു പൊങ്ങുന്ന കോടമഞ്ഞ്,
പഴശ്ശി നിറഞ്ഞാടിയ ചെബോത്തി .
മൂന്നു മണിക്കൂര്‍ ട്രക്കിംഗ് നടത്തിയാല്‍ സിംഹപ്പാറയിൽ എത്താം. തേക്കിൻറെ നാട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് ഇങ്ങോട്ട് ഉള്ള വഴിയിലാണ് ആഢ്യൻപാറ വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടവും പന്തീരായിരവും. കുറവൻപുഴയോട് കളിക്കരുത്, ഉരുണ്ട മിനുസമുള്ള കല്ലുകള്‍ തഴുകിയോടുന്ന അരുവി മാടിവിളിക്കാം ,കല്ലുകള്‍ വഴുതാം.
ഒറ്റ ദിവസം കൊണ്ട് യാത്ര തീര്‍ക്കാനാണെങ്കില്‍ കോഴിപ്പാറയും പന്തീരായിരവും കണ്ട് തിരിച്ച് പോവാം. നളചരിതം പോലെ കഥ ദിവസങ്ങള്‍ നീളണമെങ്കില്‍ ഒരു ദിവസം തങ്ങി നേരെ സിംഹപ്പാറ വഴി ചെബോത്തിക്ക് വിട്ടോളൂ.
