A friend once told me a story I haven’t been able to shake off.
There was a girl who kept planting seeds.
Every morning, she watered the soil. Every evening, she checked for growth. Days passed… nothing. Weeks passed… still nothing.
People around her started harvesting flowers, fruits, results.
She had… dirt.
Frustrated, she almost gave up. One night, she sat beside that patch of land and whispered,
“What am I doing wrong?”
And for the first time, she didn’t ask for results.
She just sat there… quietly.
The next morning, she showed up again.
Not because she saw progress.
But because she chose to believe something was happening beneath the surface.
So she continued.
She continued to pray — not for outcomes, but for strength.
She continued to wait — not passively, but patiently.
She continued to trust — even when there was no evidence.
She continued to heal — from the doubt that told her to quit.
And then one day…
The ground broke open.
Not just a small sprout — but roots that had been growing deep, strong, and ready this whole time.
That’s when she understood:
Some seasons don’t show you results…
because they’re busy building roots you can’t see.
So if life feels quiet right now, if nothing seems to be moving, if you're questioning everything —
Maybe you're not behind.
Maybe you're just in your root season.
And roots don’t grow loud…
but they grow strong.
