The Government of India has allocated a budget of 1882 crores to the tourism sector and has proposed new schemes, tourism circuits, festivals etc. while talking about using this fund for "beautification of pilgrim centres ", "tourist ameniti

es to attract tourists", "national heritage city development", etc. In the superfast developments in heritage precincts and building, it is our duty of safeguard the interests of our tangible and intangible heritage and plan for a regulated, inclusive and sustainable development.

With our 2023 Annual Meeting in Sydney, Australia approaching, ICTC is still accepting new membership applications. Please share this information with ICOMOS colleagues who may be interested to join the committee.

The deadline for submission for consideration at the 2023 Annual Meeting is on July 31, 2023.
