Dear seafarers pls be careful while traveling.
Yesterday 2 fraud case come in my knowledge.

Case 1.
If you are on a bus or train journey and you have a beggar come and ask for food, then you should not bother to give food or else this cheap heart can become a problem for you…
Yes, nowadays there are gangs of such trafficked beggars who ask for food from you and as soon as one of their members eats some of them, they start pretending to be tortured and other gang members come to the fight. And threatens to entrap the police. Their setting is also from the policemen there and you can forcibly charge a hefty amount… It would be better if you put the remaining food to a dog.

Case 2.
If you are driving at night and someone throws eggs at your WINDSCREEN, do not stop to check the car, do not operate the wiper and do not put any kind of water on the windscreen, because the water mixed with the eggs becomes milky. And blocks your vision by up to 92.5% and then you are forced to stop the car next to the road and then you become the victim of the already ambushed criminals. This is a new technology, it is used by criminal gangs on the highway nowadays, please inform your friends and relatives.

जी हां आजकल ऐसे ट्रैंड भिखारियों के गैंग चल रहे है जो आपसे खाना मांगते है और ज्यों ही उनका कोई सदस्य उस में से कुछ खाता है वो मुंह से जाग निकाल के तड़पने का नाटक करने लग जाता है और गिरोह के अन्य सदस्य मारपीट पे उतर आते है और पुलिस केस में फ़ंसाने की धमकियां देते है। इनकी सेटिंग वहां के पुलिस वालों से भी होती है और आप से जबरन एक मोटी रकम वसूल सकते है...अच्छा होगा कि आप बचा हुआ खाना किसी कुत्ते को डाल दे।

अगर आप रात में गाड़ी चला रहे हैं और कोई आपके WINDSCREEN पर अंडे फेंके तो कार की जांच के लिए रोकें नहीं, वाइपर संचालित भी ना करें और किसी भी तरह का पानी विंडस्क्रीन पे ना डाले, क्योंकि अंडे के साथ मिश्रित पानी दूधिया बन जाता है और आपकी दृष्टि को 92.5% तक के लिए ब्लॉक कर देता है और फिर आपको मजबूरन गाडी को सड़क के बगल में बंद करना पड़ता है और फिर आप पहले से घात लगाये बैठे अपराधियों का शिकार बन जाते है। यह एक नई तकनीक है इसका प्रयोग आजकल हाईवे पे अपराधिक गिरोहो द्वारा किया जाता है कृपया अपने दोस्तों और रिश्तेदारों को जरुर सूचित करें।

19 crew kidnapped from HK-flagged VLCC off Nigeria

The piracy situation in West Africa has descended to new lows with a VLCC raided by armed men yesterday and 19 crew kidnapped. The attack on the Anglo-Eastern-managed Nave Constellation took place 66 nautical miles south of Bonny Offshore Terminal, and 24 nautical miles east of the Egina FPSO.

Nineteen crew members were reportedly kidnapped, including eighteen Indian nationals and one Turkish national. The vessel was laden and outbound from the Bonny Offshore Terminal, underway at approximately 13.3 knots. It was not under es**rt at the time of the attack.

The form are available to down load for Seman provident fund withdrawal .

50% contribution are given by company owners and 50% by seafarers .

The calculation is about 12% of the basic wages.

You must verify online that the deducted amount are submitted by your beloved company.

Currently 8.5% interest are accumulated yearly.

You have an additional option to deposit provident fund money other than deducted.

A sum of rs upto 150,000 can be deposited in PF and the same one can be declared as non taxable income .

And submitt during your tax valuation .
If you have better idea to enrich SPF operation can visit the website and advice.

I feel the SPF should intimate the seafarers and registered NOK through mail and the amount shall be remitted to registered account once a claim arises.

Modification in Form-I and Article of Agreement


A large number of cases reported about the difficulties faced by Indian Seafarer abroad who are recruited and placed on board foreign flag Ships by unlicensed/unauthorized entities. In order to prevent such placement of seafarers on board foreign flag vessels aboard, it has been decided that data of engagement of Indian Seafarers in eGovernance system DGS would be shared with Protector of Employment (PoE), Ministry of External Affairs. In this regard the existing module under eGovernance System of DGS. i.e. Form I and Article of Agreement have been modified and integrated with new eMigrate Software.

The Data in respect of the seafarer engaged through Indian Shipping Companies and Registered Recruitment and Placement Service providers can be forwarded to e-Migrate system directly from DGS system without any further requirement of registration in the e-migration system. The seafarer using this route shall be allowed by immigration without any hindrance.

In the proposed system, the RPS and the Indian flag ship owner logs in to the DGS eGovernance system using the user id and password that has already been provided to them. Such data should be filled before the excepted date of departure of the seafarer. The data shall include fields like name of seafarer, passport number, INDoS No.CDC No. name of foreign shipping company, name of ship. The data that is submitted online in the e-migrate system, will be further automatically transmitted to the Immigration desk. When such seafarer reports at the immigration check point and swipes his passport, then his data flashes on the immigration desk and he may be allowed to pass through.

The said new system is made functional with immediate effect. The instruction in details is given below. Apart from this a help document is also available at Help link provided in the module.

Instruction for Form I (New)

Instead of uploading for CSV file for seafarer engagement details for Foreign Flag company has to submit individual wise (one seafarer’s details at a time) and same sign on details will automatically be uploaded in eMigration system and eMigration Reference No. and Date will be displayed on the screen. Same will be mailed to seafarer as well as Applicant. Details will be verified by the authority at the time of immigration.

Details can be uploaded in eMigration system by clicking over "Click to Migrate" link.
For Sign Off
Enter the INDoS No. and click over Continue button. System will populate Seafarer’s details, Last sign on details along with old Sea service details which were uploaded using the new Form I as History. Individual Report can be printed by clicking over “View” link
To make Sign off click over the link “Click to Sign Off” and enter
Date of Sign on Ship, Date of Sign off Ship and
Date of Completion of Contract and Click over Continue button.

4. To generate report Click the link “Form I Report” under the menu “Reports”

Instruction for Article of Agreement

Once Sign on Application is submitted, details will automatically be uploaded in eMigration system and eMigration Reference No. and Date will be displayed on the screen. Same will be mailed to seafarer as well as Applicant. Details will be verified by the authority at the time of immigration.3

Once Sign on data is submitted in eGovernance system and the eMigration Reference details are not displayed over the screen, in such cases pending Sign on Details can be viewed in the link "Pending Sign On details for eMigration". Details can be uploaded in eMigration system by clicking over "Click to Migrate" link.

Two new fields are added in the application.
a. Name of Seafarer as per Passport in Seafarer Details Tab
b. Date of Flight Journey (Tentative) in Sign-on Details Tab
