A New Address for Art Of Travel India Holidays!
We are thrilled to share that Art Of Travel India Holidays has moved to a new address
The inauguration of our new office took place on 5th June 2025, graced by the presence of our guiding lights, Sh. Arvind Kumar Shorawal and Smt. Rita Shorawal, whose blessings have been the foundation of our story. Surrounded by our close family members, friends and well wishers it was a moment of deep gratitude and togetherness.
We were truly honored to receive blessings from Swami Risheshwaranand ji, Swami Ashutosh ji Maharaj, and Hon’ble Justice S.K. Agarwal, whose gracious presence made the occasion even more memorable.
As we step into this new space, our commitment remains the same: to deliver authentic, unforgettable travel experiences with the care and detail that our guests and partners value.

🌄 Bhutan’s Iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery OR Paro Taktsang

A few years ago, I had the privilege of hiking up to the breathtaking Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan. This sacred site, perched precariously on a cliff, offers a sense of tranquility and awe that's hard to find elsewhere.

As my guide shared the history of this monastery, I learned that it was tragically destroyed by fire and meticulously rebuilt in 1998. The materials were transported to the top using cable cars, which were later removed to maintain the purity of the site. At that moment, I remember expressing a wish that the cable cars had remained to make the ascent easier.

However, today, as I see tourist spots crowded beyond capacity specially the ones located at a drivable distance from Delhi / NCR , I feel grateful that Tiger’s Nest is not in India. Had it been, there would likely be a cable car, helicopter services, and perhaps mules carrying hordes of people to the top. Tourists would occupy every inch, more focused on capturing selfies and reels than on experiencing the spiritual essence of the place.

I applaud the Bhutanese government for their dedication to preserving the sanctity of Tiger’s Nest Monastery. In a world where commercialization often overshadows cultural and spiritual heritage, Bhutan has managed to protect this gem—at least for now. 🙏

Exploring the Spiritual and Cultural Gems of South India: Rameshwaram, Trichy, and Tanjore

I recently had the privilege of visiting the enchanting destinations of Rameshwaram, Trichy, and Tanjore in the southern region of India. These places are a harmonious blend of profound spirituality, architectural marvels, and rich cultural heritage that left a lasting impression.

# : A Pilgrimage to the Divine

The crown jewel of Rameshwaram is the iconic Rameshwaram Temple, one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites and home to the revered 12 Jyotirlingas. The temple's intricate carvings, towering gopurams, and the 22 sacred theerthams (holy water bodies) create an awe-inspiring atmosphere that transports visitors to a realm of deep spirituality.

Just a short distance from the Rameshwaram Temple lies the Kothandaramaswamy Temple, a shrine dedicated to Lord Rama and the only historical structure to survive the devastating 1964 cyclone that washed away the town of Dhanushkodi. This temple holds deep mythological significance, as it is believed to be the place where Vibhishana, the younger brother of Ravana, sought refuge with Lord Rama.

# # Trichy: Exploring the Rockfort and the Ranganathaswamy Temple

In the vibrant city of Trichy, I was captivated by the Rockfort Ganpathi Temple, perched atop a towering rock formation that offers breathtaking views of the city.

Another architectural marvel in Trichy is the Sri Ranga Nathaswamy Temple, a sprawling complex dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple's towering gopurams, intricate carvings, and the serene Cauvery River create a truly mesmerizing experience.

# # Tanjore: The Grandeur of the Brihadeeshwara Temple and the Royal Palace

The highlight was the visit to Tanjore, home to the magnificent Brihadeeshwara Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This architectural masterpiece, is renowned for its towering vimana (main tower) and the intricate carvings that adorn its walls.

Tanjore is also home to the impressive Tanjore Palace, a testament to the region's rich royal heritage.

Whether you're seeking a spiritual pilgrimage, a journey through history, or an exploration of architectural wonders, these destinations in South India have something to offer for every traveler.

As we celebrate the 11th anniversary of Art Of Travel India Holidays, we reflect on the incredible journey we've had—a true roller coaster ride filled with a multitude of experiences. Some moments have been heartening, bringing us joy and satisfaction, while others have provided invaluable lifetime learnings.

Among the most challenging hurdles we faced were the moments when our most trusted allies abandoned us for petty benefits and, of course, the unprecedented existential threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite these trials, we found strength in adversity. Overcoming the existential crisis of COVID-19 stands as a testament to our resilience. We not only managed to clear the dues of all our business associates but also kept our entire team together without a single layoff. This was achieved even as some of our receivables from partners remain pending. A significant highlight of our journey was receiving the National Tourism Award, an honor that recognizes our commitment and hard work.

We owe our deepest gratitude to our incredible team, both past and present, and their families, who have stood in unwavering solidarity, especially during the toughest times. Your dedication and support have been the backbone of our success.
