Despite the train being decorated and ready to go, the opening is deferred pending final CCRS safety clearance. Minor technical works are being completed. Expecting the opening in the coming days! Stay tuned.

Third Vande Bharat Sleeper rake is now allocated to Northeast Frontier Railway, giving NFR two dedicated rakes for the Howrah–Kamakhya Sleeper rollout. Once the third unit enters service in about 15 days, the route will begin full-fledged regular operations. Northern Railway retains the first, fourth, and fifth rakes for its upcoming long-distance premium corridors across the north zone.
