Another Mercury Fourstroke with a recurring fault on the smart craft gauge
Sensor voltage was less than the required 5 volts input. Faulty MAP sensor and a dirty pin at the ECU was the culprit. MAP sensor was replaced, contacts cleaned at the ECU and fault cleared.
This is the second Mercury Fourstroke we have encountered with the same fault with the dirty ECU pins.

Customer with a Mercury Fourstroke 150 called us with an intermittent alarm on his smartcraft cluster.

It was difficult to identify as the fault cleared each time the ignition was turned off. Took a ride on the boat and after a while the culprit was identified.
Customer was advised to service the engine with fuel filter change, tanks checked and and fault has not appeared.
