With thanks to Cllr Paul McCabe and Thomas Byrne TD for taking time out yesterday to host myself and Mum . In 1963 Mum and Dad started working together , just not our family but so many more families are part of that desk and indeed all of the high profile projects that we have worked together on . The Timmons family , the Monaghan Families , the Farrelly family , the Brady family , the Smyth Family , the Kangley family , the Donnellan family , the McShane family , the Carry family , the Muldoon Family , the Dunne family , the Tuite family , the Clarke family , the Sheridan family , the Matthews Family I could fill a book of the many many people that have a hand in that desk . We have come through difficult times and without all of the above people we would not be standing beside Thomas or the Taoiseach . Thank you to everyone for the words of congratulatiosn for Mum , she is not a fan of publicty but I know how much she appreciates all her friends . Next year will mark 60 years of cabinetmaking in Kells , and I know she has no intention of not sitting behind her own desk in 2024 .
