90 years to the day 💚

One aircraft, six seats, five passengers.

A rare snap from that momentous first flight on the 27th May, 1936. ✈️☘️

Our very first aircraft takes to the skies once again! ✈️☘️

Over the past few months, the iconic Iolar has been carefully restored by a team of engineers and Aer Lingus volunteers. A small plane, but a big reminder of where it all began.

90 years on… and still flying 💚

Since then, we have proudly flown over 350M passengers.

We thank you for flying Aer Lingus 💚
