I am heading to Co.Donegal on Saturday and staying in N.Ireland over the weekend. This presents an opportunity to make courier collections in the North on Monday and later in Dublin for customers based in the south east.
It will also be possible to make a delivery to Dublin this Friday evening, but the parcel/item needs to be collected on Thursday.

I am heading to Dublin this Friday evening to deliver a motorbike there, stay overnight and then on Saturdaty I am heading to Lifford in Co.Donegal to collect a 2nd motorbike.
I have been trying hard on various FB Biker pages over the past weekend to get a 2nd motorbike to collect in Northern Ireland or the border counties to take back to the South East or further south to Cork without any success so far. Coming into the Autumn is not the ideal time to be getting motorbikes to transport!

Hence I now want to give notice on this page as Superforce Express SE that I can offer to deliver items to Dublin or further north of the country OR make a collection of items in Northern Ireland on Monday 7th September.
Normally all Superforce Express SE deliveries are based on two sizes and the distance to collect or deliver to to determine the cost.

On this trip I can offer a courier service to N.Irl, border counties and Dublin at much lower rates based mainly on size and weight going to the south east.

Time frame for courier service to N.I and Dublin.

******If you want to get something to Dublin on Friday 4th or further north on Sat 5th I will have to collect it the day before.

******If you want something from Dublin collected it could be Monday evening after hours or Tuesday morning within business hours delivering later that day or on Wednesday.

******If you want something collected in Northern Ireland this can be possible on Sunday or Monday within business hours.

Call or message me at 087 2440724 for a quote including Eircodes and post codes for N.I.

The map attached is the route I may be taking over the course of the weekend and into next week.

I want to thank the following business's for using Superforce Express SE over the past month.

Firstly this time to Lauren Weldon of Keltech Engineering where I did a delivery to Vertiv in Campsie Co. Derry at 10AM after collecting from Keltech the evening before. keltech.ie

Another collection for new repeat customer Premech Bespoke Engineering based in Mooncoin Co. Kilkenny, a significant pallet of fabricated steel parts from Nass that I was able to load and unload into the box van trailer with a wide pallet truck. Almost on par with a tail lift mounted on a van.

On Sunday May 17th I made a collection from an electronic engineer's house in Passage West Co.Cork of IT equipment that I had to deliver to a company in Tralee on Monday morning for another repeat customer Digitalwell.

Last week I had to deliver a letter to a Dublin 2 based solicitors firm for Waterford based solicitors Kearns Heffernan Foskin LLP.

Last week I'm pretty sure I covered the highest mileage in a single day in the past five years of driving the incredible Kia e-Niro.
On Monday 30th March I took a call from Brian Scannell at Keltech Engineering in Waterford to travel to a company based in Burnfoot Co.Donegal about 12KM's north west of Derry city to collect a machine service tool they needed early the following morning.
It was 11AM before I was able to leave home here in Ballywilliam and had 70% charge in the e-Niro.
I made just one charge stop at the new ESB Ecars hub in Airside Retail Park in Swords Dublin for one hour before hitting the M1 and driving continuously the rest of the journey to Burnfoot in Co.Donegal. I decided to stay on the M1 till I crossed the border onto the Newry bypass and taking the A28 for Armagh. I left the A28 just past Markethill and was then on B roads up to the M1 and left it quickly for the A45 to Moneymore Co.Tyrone. Then unto the A29 and A6 dual carriageway to Derry.
I arrived at the company security entrance at 5:20 pm where I collected the part. I had covered 399.8KM's from leaving home. I have higher profile '60' tyres (original 55) on the Kia which actually means the odometer gives a very very close through measurement of distance. With the original tyres speedometer over read by 8% odometer about 4%. I had 30KM's of range left!
Using the EV charge app ZapMap I had to head to a BP Pulse charge station at Dungiven Road, Derry city. When I arrived there with the battery down to 5% there was a notice on the charger's stating the credit card reader wasn't working on any of them. I also had very poor mobile phone reception to try and use the BP Pulse app which I recall having major trouble with in the UK in 2024. But very luckily a NI guy with an electric BMW who also tried to use the chargers and failed with his app was able to tell me that there was an old ESB Ecars 50KW charger at a no longer in use Maxol filling station a short distance away. So THANK GOD I was able to get charging there for 45 minutes while I went off and got my lunch at a very good chipper where the BP chargers were located bearing in mind it was now 6:35PM!
ESB Ecars have very few chargers in the North and this particular one for some strange reason is not shown on the Ecars app that I use all the time. The whole EV charging infrastructure in NI is about the same as what we had in the south about four to five years ago.
I had to take the main route back to the south via Monaghan as I did not want to encounter any further charging uncertainties in NI. I arrived at a good charging facility at a Circle K station, N2 Emyvale Road and got a good charge session there before leaving there at 9:50PM. So the weather conditions were good and headed down the N2 and onto the N33 at Ardee leading onto the M1 north of Dunleer.
I had planned for one more final charging session at Circle K M9 Kilcullen which lasted 29 minutes leaving there at midnight. I had calculated that getting the battery to 60% was enough to get to Waterford and back home to Ballywilliam.
I arrived at Keltech at exactly 1AM and had arranged to give the part to one of the night shift supervisor's.
I arrived back home in Ballywilliam at 1:45 in the morning having clocked up a total of 848 KM's, a certain record in one day!

Thankyou to two more Waterford based legal practices for putting their thrust in Superforce Express SE for getting their documents delivered at short notice to Dublin.

Firstly to solicitor Aiden Power of Nolan, Farrell and Goff LLP, Newtown who has availed of the service TWICE!
First run was done in July in the Kia Niro (Due to the day being very wet) to a deadline of 2pm to the Four Courts.

The second run on the 31st October was less urgent and the Honda VFR motorbike was used for this delivery to another practice in Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin 2.

Then last week I received a call from Cira O'Sullivan of Peter O'Connor & Son Solicitors based on Adelphi Quay in Waterford.
There were four boxes of documents I collected at 5:20pm on Tuesday and delivered the next morning to another legal practice on South Mall in Cork city.

The Kia e-Niro now four years old and approaching 90K KM's was able to travel from Ballywilliam where I live in County Wexford to Cork city, back to Waterford city and crawl to the evening traffic for half an hour and then back to Ballywilliam with 15% charge remaining without never going near a charger pretty on par with a similar run back in 2021 when the car was new.

According to some of the EV Experts (EV haters, and a survey conducted by AA Ireland) I have one more year or 10K KM's to go before I will need a new battery!

On the 4th of July I received a call from Kenny Stephenson and Chapman Solicitors in Waterford for an urgent delivery to Perts Solicitiors in Dublin. There was a 1:45 pm delivery time on this as ultimately the folders had then to be in the near by Four Courts by 2pm.

Another 'Reeling In The Months' catch up post. In June I did two separate deliveries for Keltech Engineering in Waterford BOTH by motorbike. The first one was a record distance I haven't done in years by motorbike (185KM from Ballywilliam, more than half of the journey was on secondary roads cross country) to Oldcastle Co.Meath.
Initially picked up the box at Keltech pictured below by car and then decided to make it into a motorbike run as I had only done one bike run so far this year at this point and the weather was favorable. There was no particular time limit on this run once I got it there to a private address in Oldcastle that evening. My body certainly felt this run for about three days after, highlighting my age and need to be fitter!
Then on June 21st I again turned a car/van delivery into a motorbike run to KWS in Portlaoise of transporting three oil cooled arc welding torches. Collected the evening before and delivered the next morning at 8:40 AM to KWS.

Still in April (when there was a real nice week of weather!) the most unforgettable non regular run of the year! Before Easter, Michael O'Brien in Bantry Co.Cork contacted me about the possibility of collecting a piano at Lacken outside Waterford city. He basically told me I could do it when ever it suited me. I had in mind to spend a couple of days in Cork city canvasing for my courier service so I was able to offer Michael a 20% discount on the delivery of this piano to Bantry.
Thanks to Paul Welsh for helping me to move the piano out of an outhouse on a farm using a dolly (frame on casters) I had to make to be able to push the piano up the ramp of the trailer on a Friday evening. I also had my Honda CBR 600 motorbike in the trailer as I intended to use for the subsequent courier canvasing primarily for calling to over 80% of all the solicitors based in Cork city while my Kia was AC charging over the days I was in Cork city.

I arrived to a pre booked first night stay at D most peaceful glorious B&B Bantry Bay Haven about 5km north of Bantry in a place called Ballylickey on a Sunday evening after traveling over the rocky mountain route. I parked up the Kia Niro and trailer in a car park in Bantry and unloaded my Honda CBR to head back to the B&B. This was my first ever time to use AC public charging on the Kia and worked out perfectly! I arrived with about 12% charge after getting a 45 minute DC charge in Rochestown SE of Cork city on the journey. I left Ballywilliam with 100% charge but towing only commenced from Lacken in Waterford. I had a fridge powered at all times with me also!

On Monday morning I reloaded the m.bike back into the trailer and with a fully charged e-Niro headed to the south side of Bantry to deliver the piano to Michael O'Brien.

I headed back to Cork then and parked up the trailer and Kia in a car park at the back of Cork County Council's high rise office block and resumed AC charging there on the Kia and commenced calling to solicitors on my m.bike the first being the high profile Frank Buttimer & Co who represented the late Ian Bailey. I received a very positive interest from alot of the solicitors practices for promoting of same day courier service primarily to Dublin.

I had decided to stay a 2nd night at Bantry Bay Haven despite it being an hours drive away after getting the 2nd night of stay for a lower price.
On day two in Cork I had to relocate my Kia and trailer to Musgraves Cash & Carry in Ballycurren Industrial Estate (off the Kinsale roundabout) where again I had long stay AC charging for the Kia after security in Cork County Council car park objected to me parking there. Thanks to the staff at Musgraves for allowing me to use their car park without any objection what so ever.

I spent the 3rd night at a big B & B, Moorepark West House outside of Fermoy half an hour from Cork. A good set up and also quiet but badly let down with the 3ft sagging bed mattress!!
Spent the 3rd final day in Cork and left Musgraves with a fully charged e-Niro at 6:30pm (after a long nap) with m.bike back in the trailer. Arrived back in Ballywilliam at 8:45pm without any charge stops on the 156km journey.

In April I received a call (12:50pm) from Traco Power Solutions Ltd. Killeens Wexford to collect eleven boxes at Harbour Point Business Park, Little Island, Cork which were collected at 3:20PM. A nice comfortable fit into the Kia Niro and a good example of the carrying capacity of this compact SUV. Boxes were delivered to Traco Power at 8AM the following morning.
