The legendary ‘Zeke’ is ready for take-off! 🇯🇵✈️

I’ve just finished my latest build: a 1/72 scale Mitsubishi A6M2b-21 Zero from Airfix. This specific aircraft (X-183) operated from Denpasar airfield on the island of Bali back in February 1942, flown by NAP 2/C Yoshiro Hashiguchi.

I really wanted to push my limits with this one, so I decided to ditch the decals for the main markings. The iconic red Hinomaru rings and the fuselage stripes were all custom masked and airbrushed for a more authentic, scale-accurate finish. I also scratch-built the cockpit seatbelts using tiny strips of masking tape to add that extra bit of realism.
