Seaven is the new company name of Evia Petrol Group, which was established in 2003. Seaven features the company’s scope and speaks to its vessels’ potential of traveling across the Seven Seas, all over the globe. The fleet of Seaven is comprised of medium sized, Greek flag, modern oil/ chemical tankers double-hulled and equipped with the most technologically advanced equipment. The tankers are mai

nly trading between Mediterranean, Black Sea and North Europe ports, chartered by demanding and well respected companies, with oil majors and known oil traders being among them. Additionally, Seaven has under its management self-discharging cement carrier vessels, which are mainly trading within Mediterranean ports and chartered by first class cement major companies and cement traders. Seaven is a Member of Intertanko, Bimco, Helmepa and EENMA (Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association)
In November 2018, Seaven became the first company in the world, with vessels under 10,000 DWT, to be certified by Green Award Foundation. Seaven aims to continue its expansion and growth, offering the best quality service in demanding trades. The sea is our route and corporate reliability has always been our utmost priority. At the “Adopt a Ship” event, held in collaboration with the Directorate of Education & Lifelong Learning of the Municipality of Piraeus, we were honored to hear from Mr. Nikolas Tsalamanios, our co-CEO and Chairman of Project Connect.
In his speech, he presented the vision and impact of the “Adopt a Ship” program, highlighting how it connects students with real ships and seafarers, bringing maritime education and real-world experience into the classroom.
The event was also honored by the presence of the Mayor of Piraeus Mr. Yiannis Moralis, underlining the importance of this initiative for education, youth engagement, and the maritime identity of the city.

The Merchant Marine Academy of Macedonia (Engineering Department) visited our M/V Seaven Spirit at the Port of Thessaloniki, as part of Seaven’s initiative, which launched in 2024 to support maritime education.
This initiative aims to give to first-year cadets the opportunity to visit a vessel before their first training voyage, helping them become familiar with the ship environment, its machinery, and the daily life of engineering officers on board.
During the visit, the cadets were guided by Seaven’s team and had the chance to see the engine room, auxiliary systems, and crew accommodation areas, gaining valuable first-hand insight into their future profession.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Deputy Commander, the Director, and the Professors of the Merchant Marine Academy of Michaniona, as well as to the company’s Chief Engineer Mr. George Vakalis and Mr. Charalampos Kounelis Crew, Training and Development Coordinator, all officers and crew of M/V Seaven Spirit for their warm hospitality, collaboration, and contribution to the success of this visit.
Seaven remains committed to supporting maritime education and shaping the next generation of Greek seafarers.
