A proud moment for the Platts team! 🏅

We recently had the honour of collecting Platts Group’s Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award, the scheme’s highest level of recognition for employers supporting the Armed Forces community.

We’re one of just eight employers in Wales to receive Gold in 2026, recognising our commitment to supporting veterans, Reservists, service families and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.

As a family business, this means a great deal to us. Looking after people and recognising the skills and experience they bring is central to the workplace we want to build.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us achieve this milestone, and congratulations to our fellow award recipients. A fantastic occasion celebrating a commitment we’re proud to continue. 👏

From the bedding order to the farm gate, there’s a team behind every load.🚚

Platts Agriculture and Platts Transport work together to keep bedding moving to farms.

☀️ Sunshine, scenery, and another day on the road! 🚛

From busy container collections at the ports to deliveries on farms across the countryside, our fleet has been making the most of the sunshine while keeping freight moving.

Here’s a selection of photos from our drivers’ journeys over the past few days, showcasing the variety of work and landscapes that come with life on the road. 🚛🌾

⚽️🌍 World Cup fever has arrived at Platts! 🌍⚽️

The teams have been drawn, the bragging rights are already being claimed, and our company sweepstake is officially underway. There are some happy faces, a few questionable picks, and at least one person already planning where to spend their winnings. 🏆

Of course, our FD somehow ended up with France. We're sure that's entirely above board and not worthy of an non-conformance... 🇫🇷👀😂

Now it's over to you, who's your tip to win the tournament? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Tight spaces build character. Fortunately, our drivers already have plenty. 🚛

From ferry decks packed tighter than a tin of sardines to farmyards designed before articulated lorries were invented, just another day at Platts Transport.📸

Every day brings a different delivery, but nothing changes when it comes to how we handle it.

Whether it’s agricultural produce or bulk materials, we’re used to the kind of rural jobs that need a flexible approach.

✅ Bulk haulage specialists
✅ Reliable, on time service

Wherever the job takes us, from rural yards to commercial sites, we keep things moving

Our award-winning transport team is growing 🚚

We’re on the lookout for Class 1 and Class 2 drivers to join us at Platts Transport - a family-run business known for its high standards, strong reputation and DVSA Green-Green rating.

This is a varied role, working across the UK and Ireland with a well-maintained fleet of flat-deck lorries and moving floor trailers. From long-distance runs to different delivery environments, no two days are the same.

If you’re a qualified HGV driver who takes pride in safety, reliability and service, we’d love to hear from you.

Meet Graham 👋

No two drivers take the same route into becoming an HGV driver, and Graham’s is a great example 🚛

At Platts Transport, our drivers play a huge part in keeping everything moving day in, day out, and we’re proud of the different paths they’ve taken to get here.

We caught up with Graham to talk about life as a Platts driver, from completing a fast-track 7-day course to now being out on the road, seeing the countryside from a completely different perspective.

Hit play to hear what he enjoys most about the role, the independence it brings, and of course… his go-to snack - Jelly Babies 🍬

The big weigh in 🚛

A crucial part of every journey starts right here.

Before leaving site, every load is processed across the weighbridge to ensure it meets the required standards for weight, balance and compliance.

This stage supports safe load distribution, efficient transport and consistency across every delivery, while ensuring complete accuracy for our customers.

A simple step, done properly, that underpins everything that follows on the road.
