A recent upcycle of this oak corner cabinet was an absolute joy especially when my customer saw it finished. My customer was quoted a silly amount of money to have a corner cabinet built by Hammonds. She asked me if I could upcycle this unit to match the fitted wardrobes. Of course I agreed to do it as I just knew that we could make it work. Handles were purchased from Hammonds so they matched the fitted furniture. The unit needed some TLC as there was quite a bit of damage. It might have had some wear and tear due to its previous life but with a little bit of love I hope you agree that the finished result was perfect. My customer sent me a video today of the piece in her son’s bedroom and she is delighted. It was her first time asking me to upcycle a piece of furniture for her and her reaction when she saw it was just the best. The paint was fusion in Tapestry. I think I might have converted her to buying old before buying new 😜 there really is no need to buy new all the time. I repeat myself having been upcycling pieces for over 15 years now that the older furniture was made well and truly doesn’t least deserve to end up being dumped! I’m very proud to admit most of my home has had a previous life and you would never know 😜 I will add her feedback to my stories ❤️
