Zagreb is a lovely little quirky city.
We only stayed 2 nights/one day but the trams make getting around easy for just โฌ0.53/journey and most attractions are accessible by foot from the central square.
Instead of conventional we visited the hangover museum, which is hilarious, the museum of broken relationships which is both amusing but also incredibly sad, walked through a WW2 tunnel, then walked to the Nikola Tesla museum of technology, which was so interesting.
Lovely food, lovely people
We stayed in a little 4* hotel in the business area which had an intriguing quirky bar almost next door and was right on several tramlines
The airport is only 10k out of town and a Bolt (uber) this morning was just โฌ23.70 including tip, for a bigger car for our excessive luggage ๐
Only a 2 hour flight from London airports, and incredibly good value on Air Croatia to Heathrow, including baggage!
I highly recommend it for a 'something different' short break and am already planning a girlie weekend here
