It’s been a eventful 10 months.

Thanks to COVID 19 we have struggled to find anybody who can work on our little old boat after our engine issues last year.

On Sunday we finally heard our old girl run for the first time since July!

There’s lots of work that still needs to be done but we are one step closer to being back out on the water!!

I’ll be posting updates every few days and hopefully we can have her out on another grand tour very soon 🎉

What’s that on the horizon? It’s The Pirate Boat!! They’re coming to Pennington Flash this weekend, selling there wares, trading their badges and most of all flogging their traditional ice creams!!

Our engine aboard Brage1/ibeke may be out of action but we will try and get a tug over for the weekend to join the festivities ☺️🎉☺️

80 years ago today operation Dynamo came to a close as our little boat made her final landing back home to Great Britain, from a heroic bout retrieving our troops from the beaches around Dunkirk.

So today we say thank you in a slightly different way,
This month marks Pride Month for our LGBTQ community, even back when it was still illegal to identify as LGBTQ you fought for our country and for our freedom.

From troops working our home front to those fighting on the frontline, to the father of modern computing who cracked the enigma code, Alan Turing!

We say THANKYOU and will be flying a Rainbow “Freedom” flag from our wheelhouse mast for the whole of June.

Huge thanks to Frazer for the tow and to Peter from The Wigan Flight Crew for assisting with the locks.
