Kai is a 14‑year‑old talent from Morecambe, Lancashire, already making waves across the North West darts scene. His performances in the local ADC Vaults have been nothing short of impressive with big wins, fearless scoring, and a level of potential that’s impossible to ignore. His nickname is 'The Cannon' as hes a big hard hitter with the arrows.

Kai represents exactly what NEXTGEN is built for: young players with passion, commitment, and the drive to push their game to the next level. He’s on the rise, and we’re proud to give him the platform, support, and spotlight he deserves.

NEXTGEN will be supporting Kai with equipment support, event assistance, and regular promotion across our channels as he continues his journey through local leagues, development pathways, and beyond.

Ey up !

Strange one tonight I afraid . One of the lads sent me this several days ago and it’s taken me until to get my head around it.

Two reasons really, firstly WTF there’s 4 new wagons sat in the yard, I do hope it’s the only time ! 🤣

Secondly, WOW ! Back in 2016 I was told by very well respected members of the industry I was stupid to think we’d ever make any headway within such a close industry and I didn’t have it in me to build it, I saw an opportunity and couldn’t let it go, so myself and my wife at the time looked at it and we got the relevant accreditations and went for it.

Well two years ago when LF went it all very nearly came crashing down, I buried my head and hoped things would fix themselves but the bank wanted to weld gates shut and gave us two weeks to find a solution. I put my house down as security and gave it everything I and everyone within the business had and here we are! I would never lie down thinking I could of done more, very foolish in some respects but I didn’t see it that way, I saw an extended family which all had the same vision as me and father and I felt we had the responsibility to give it our all for them as ultimately our decisions pays everyone’s wages.

We’d invested heavily in tanks early on and it’s paid dividends but due to the above the wagons had to keep going , father and the workshop have worked tirelessly rebuilding engines and gluing old wagons back together and kept things moving through some of the darkest times I’ve ever lived. The work they did was remarkable and kept us going.

The time has come now for us to have available funds to invest into the wagon side and these are 4 of 5 coming this financial year along with plans for next year in place.

I am pretty emotional but I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank everyone that had a part in what we have accomplished as I feel it is pretty remarkable. As a young business to suffer a huge hit like we did and come through the other side is still a lot to take on board.

Thank you to current and past staff, current and past customers. You paid you’re part in the future of G&J Shuttleworth Ltd and this version is back very much wiser and stronger.

Well would you look at that !

What a bonny pair these are !

Looking forward to seeing them in full Shuttleworth livery and getting down the road earning. These are the last two for a batch of 4 new Daf’s we’ve brought in this year sold by Lancashire Daf.

Along with extended warranty, various extras including getting front fog lights fitted to the first two that I forgot to spec 🤦🏻‍♂️, durabrite alloys, light bar , fridge / microwave, swivel passenger seat and night time aircon.

Things are tough out there but we need to increase our efficiency and reliability to be able to move forward, maximise profits, reduce our carbon footprint and to continue the very best service levels moving milk & milk fractions within UK & EU.

Surprisingly though, Phil Hanson actually took this photo, not sure if his knee gave way and that’s why he was on the floor when he took it or that’s was his plan all along…. Either way we will probably never get to know the real reason, but credit where credit due I think it’s spot on !

Let’s wait until they’re finished and let’s see if there’s anything else in the pipeline…. 🤔
