Sew SallyB Welcome to Sew Sally B

I am a self-taught sewing enthusiast with an obsession for pretty and unusual fabrics.

I started sewing face masks during lockdown and have opened a little Etsy shop where you can found these and other sewn creations.

🔹 Just whilst I move and set up my sewing desk and all the things and stuffs in another room 😬😵‍💫
🔸Wish me luck 😅🫠
🔹Back soon! 🧵✨💚

🔹️Tidying up my sewing desk/space has fallen by the wayside of late - things & stuffs everywhere 🫠
🔸I'm actually in the process of moving my desk etc into another room to (potentially) have more space for the things & stuffs 🤩
🔹But progress has been a bit slower than anticipated. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks 🤞🏻
🔸In the meantime, I'm a wee bit disorganised. Or is it organised chaos? 🤔
🔹Does this look familiar to anyone else!/? 🤓
(Pretty sewing room photos borrowed from Pinterest ❤️)

⚡💚✨🎉 S E W S A L L Y B • I S • S I X ! 🎉✨💚⚡
🔹️Six years ago, I opened my Etsy shop ⭐
🔸My first order was for a facemask 😷 (thanks for being my first customer, Pimmsicle 😘)
🔹I had no business cards and decorated my SewSallyB tags by hand ✏️
🔸My fabric collection was pretty modest 💚
🔹My cat, Bob, used to play with and occasionally sit on fabric - that I'd just pinned!🐈 (miss you, Bob 🤍)
🔸My love for sewing and fabric has continued to grow (quite literally in the case of the latter! 🤓)
🔹I've become a bit of a scrap-buster and turned offcuts into Book Corners, earrings and stuffing for keyrings (no scrap left behind 💪🏻)
🔸I've made Door Hanging Organisers, Kindle Cases, a Fish Extender and my first shirred dress 👗
🔹I have invested in an embroidery machine and am excited to introduce some embroidered items (watch this space 😬)
🔸I have enjoyed every project and look forward to many more 🧵
🔹A BIG SEWSALLYB BIRTHDAY THANK YOU to the fab folks who have followed, liked, commented, shared, reposted, purchased, reviewed, recommended, taken part in my various polls, come along to my craft fayres.... Your support means the world 😘
🔸Special thank you to my mum & brother for helping me make this video 💜 (Yes, I did brush my hair 🤷🏻‍♀️😅)

🔹You don't need to part with a penny to support small 💖
🔸I'm sure you already knew that 😉
🔹Simply liking, commenting, reposting, sharing and saving a post can work wonders 🪄
🔸These seemingly small actions can give a small business a big boost ⏫
🔹A boost both personally for the small biz owner who's worked hard on their content, and professionally, for how it can push their account to a wider audience 👀
🔸So next time you see a post from your friend's small business account, think twice before you scroll past✋🏻
🔹Go on, give it a like, comment, repost, share, save. They're all free 😎
🔸We're all just trying our best, so let's spread a little more kindness and consideration for one another 🥰
🔹And if you do choose to scroll past every post or reel, it might be time to ask yourself why you're following if you don't wish to show any support... 🤔
🔸I said what I said 🙂‍↕️

🔹...Collecting fabric is a separate hobby to sewing 🧵
🔸As for having "enough" fabric - the limit does not exist ✨
🔹I felt it was important to set the record straight 😉
🔸 Please note that this still doesn't guarantee I'll have the right fabric for *that* project 😅
ID: 4 second reel showing me standing in front of my sewing room bookcase and desk. I face the camera and step back, holding a large heap of fabric. Text on the reel reads: Maybe I'm cold, but I just don't give a sh*t about being told I have "enough" fabric
