Let's introduce lilo who is currently in Foster in Walsall, West Midlands.
Lilo is one of the dogs we have been helping with the hope of reuniting her with her family, as we beleive that is what part of recue is about, not just taking dogs in but helping pets stay with their family whenver possible, but unfortunately after alot of training, lilo is still not the right fit for this wonderful family.
Lilo has come along way but still has a long way to go.
Please read carefully before considering taking on a dog like lilo.
Lilo is mostly very responsive to treat reward training and responds very well to positive experiences.
Lilo is a dog that holds on to negative experiences and therefore they can become triggers.
Lilo is reactive to dogs on leads but will often stop when she has said hello.
This is due to the fact she has been attacked by a dog on a lead.
(Training is ongoing for this)
Lilo needs a cat free home.
Lilo doesn't do well being left alone for long periods and can stress mess as a result.
Lilo also can get over excited and sometimes nips so we recommend a child free home due to this.
(When lilo gets over excited we tell her "toy" This helps to reduce or stop nipping and she can work out excess energy on the toy.)
She will occasionally do this to dogs when they are over excited also.
She seems to get on better with large dogs than dogs her own size but we recommend a pet free home unless a very experienced home with the perfect match as we recommend meet and greets before commiting to lilo.
Lilo has a lot of energy and will do well with either aligilty or scent games.
She is very clever and will learn most things very quickly.
We have considered that her ideal home would be an active semi retired home or similar.
Please don't apply if you don't have your own secure back garden.
Lilo needs space to have her cute zoomies around the garden.
Lilo is currently just under 1 years of age.
We recommend she is a Foster with a view to adopt.
Lilo is crate trained, we do this with every dog so they don't get scared of being crated when at vets.
Currently she has her meals in her crate and her toys are stored in there.
Lilo will come fully equipped with her bed, feeding station and favourite toys.
Lilo is a cross Schnauzer, thos breed attribute needs to be taken into consideration when taking lilo on.
Lilo doesn't settle well on her own at night and will often want to sleep with her human friend.
Lilo is very sweet and affectionate young dog.
Lilo needs this to be her last and forever home hence the honesty so please be aware of everything as all we want is the perfect home.
The Stich to go with Lilo if anyone had watched the film ❤️ Lilo and Stich.
She is speyed and vaccinated but is due her booster soon.
