Our LineKeeper furler cover is back in stock. Stop that potentially dangerous situation where your jib furler gets tangled just as you need to reduce sail.

Older Shrimpers and some Crabbers were fitted with the Holt Allen open furler. This solution is much cheaper than replacing the whole system. It comes with the tools required to drill and tap the two holes that hold it in place. You just need a drill.

Crabber 22 Milly B was delivered back to her owner in Poole yesterday, looking fantastic and ready for the season ahead.

Tomorrow, another Crabber 22 heads out to Torquay.

We’ve developed a set of smart clutch labels to fit Barton and Spinlock XAS clutches, as fitted to most boats.

These aren’t your standard labels — they include clear, practical names that actually make sense when you’re on the water.

They’re printed on tough, UV-resistant plastic, so they’ll stand up to years of sunlight and use.

Fitting the Skathow LineKeeper to your Holt Allen furler couldn’t be easier.

Simply position the supplied drilling template, drill and tap two holes using the tools provided (a drill is required), then slide the cover neatly into place and secure it with the two stainless machine screws supplied.

Simple. Secure. Done.

A fun little job at Skathow Boat today.

Pull-The-Other-One

One of our customers wanted clear labels for his clutches so his crew would know exactly which halyard to pull — on demand.

No hesitation.
No guessing.
No “Oops… wrong one.”

So we made a set.

They’re now available in our shop as a pack of 3:

As well as being frustrating, this can create a genuinely awkward and potentially unsafe situation when short-handed.

In response, we have developed the Skathow LineKeeper™ — a neat, purpose-designed drum cover that keeps the furling line properly contained and running smoothly.
