📈 Chase Freight Ltd expands operations following acquisition 📈

Chase Freight has announced a significant expansion of its operation at its Dorset based depot, following the acquisition of a neighbouring territory. This move comes after the closure of Transplus Ltd at the end of March, and the retirement of Vinny Hughes from the APC Network after an impressive 26 years of service.

The acquisition marks an important milestone for Chase Freight, recognised for its hands-on, people-first approach and its continued support of SMEs across the region, reinforcing its commitment to growth whilst maintaining the high standards of service it is known for. Guided by values of integrity and trust, the business focuses on developing genuine, long-term partnerships with its customers, underpinned by a deep understanding of their needs.

Following the acquisition, Chase Freight has significantly increased its operational capacity. The business now runs more than 30 daily van routes, more than 25 HGV routes, and employs a growing team of 74 staff. The expansion also brings new geographic coverage, including the additional postcode areas: BH, DT1–5, DT9–11, and SP. This broader footprint allows Chase Freight to support a larger customer base whilst strengthening its presence within the network.

Glenn and Graeme Edwards, Directors at Chase Freight, shared their thoughts on the expansion:

“We were motivated by a combination of ambition, confidence in our team, and a clear opportunity to build on the strong service standards we already deliver. Expanding into an increased area was a natural next step in our growth strategy, allowing us to support more customers whilst strengthening our presence within the network.

What a truly wonderful and unforgettable evening at the Steve Bernard Black & Gold Sports Dinner celebrating 20 years of the Steve Bernard foundation held at the Hilton Bournemouth with shared company of Nicholas O Hara Funeral Directors 🖤💛

A fantastic night supporting and celebrating the incredible legacy of the Steve Bernard Foundation set up in memory of Stevie B following his tragic passing in 2005. Since its formation in 2006, the foundation has raised over £700,000, supporting more than 600 sporting projects across 30+ sports and four continents all run entirely by volunteers and all driven by an unwavering passion for sport.

From backing the AFC Bournemouth Ability Counts Team to helping equip local boxing clubs and supporting outreach projects as far as Thailand, Uganda and Kenya the impact continues to be nothing short of inspiring.

A huge highlight of the evening was guest speaker Ray Parlour who had the room captivated with brilliant stories, humour and insight from his career at the very top of the game ⚽👏 along with Hannah Cockcroft CBE who has won over 30 Championship medals:

* Paralympic Games: 9 Gold medals (2012–2024).
* World Championships: 17 Gold medals (2011–2025).
* European Championships: 3 Gold medals.

Natasha ‘Mo’ hunt whose major medal achievements include:

* Women's Rugby World Cup: A double World Champion (2014 and 2025).
* Commonwealth Games: A bronze medal with England Sevens (2018).
* Women's Six Nations: Multiple titles (reported as four or more).
* Other Tournaments: Winner of the 7s World Tournament and Women's Premiership titles with Gloucester-Hartpury.
* Olympics: Appeared in two Olympic Games (2016 and 2021) with Team GB, finishing 4th in both.

In addition to these, she was named the RPA Premier 15s Player of the Season for 2022/23.
