Some highlights from a busy summer in the boat shed.

Removal and replacement of rotten plank sections in the canoe stern of 'Zeta' a classic McGruer built ketch. Followed by a repaint.

Foredeck reconstuction on 'Jaunty' a swallow 20.

Plank and timber repairs on 'Lucy' a 32 foot long Cornish pilot gig operated by the coastal rowing academy.

Variety is the spice of life and the last few weeks have been spicy!
Ed's been doing fine finishing work on the elegant form of the Solent Sunbeam, Comedy, tidying her up for the season with fresh topside paint brightwork and a faired underwater profile. Murray got his teeth into the timberwork on a weighty steel rudder for a Dutch barge with some 45 mm thick boards of Iroko and upwards of a hundred through bolts. And Andrew set to recreating the elegant swept mast from a Loch Lomond motor cruiser based on the designers line drawings. With a cameo from Wilmer, Andrew's canine companion.

Aft quarter repairs underway and replacement plank made and being fitted, for this Falmouth Pilot ‘Godolphin’ built in Cornwall in 1962

Worn teak stripped, and fittings removed from the deck. Repairs, then filled and faired with multiple layers of high build epoxy primer and 2 pack paint. Fittings cleaned and refitted with edged margins masked around the nonslip.

Refit for the 49ft Nelson comes together with: aft deck repairs, varnished handrails, new tek deck, newly made teak seats and associated stainless steel.

Progress made with the refit for Ruby II — including new work tops, sink infill and fridge access. Bulwark bronze fair leads also fitted.

Repairs and modifications to Ruby II, a regular customer, for her refit over the winter, including this cabin hatch.

Aft corner repair, on a hand rail for a large Nelson in the shed for an extensive refit.

Final joinery jobs now completed for TT designed launch ‘Patricia’ (1937). A new boarding ladder and stainless rub rail fitted. Boot top painted to complete her refit fit this year.

Relaunched 1930s classic ‘Siena’ leaves the workshop after keel repairs, and planking. Thanks for proficiently moving all 49ft her about the yard, and back into the water!
