The Boys are Back in Town - our Diesel Gala runs from 25 - 27 September.

Highlights so far :

- British Railways class 26 locomotive, 26043 (appearing courtesy of the Cotswold Mainline Diesel Group and Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway)
- Class 47, 47635, "Jimmy Milne" in large logo blue livery
- Class 20, D8001, in early British Railways green livery
- Class 08, 08114, in British Railways blue livery, featuring on DMU shuttles into Epping Forest
- Class 03, D2170, in British Railways green livery, featuring on brake van rides into Epping Forest
-One more very special loco visiting to be announced very soon

On train real ale and bottle Bars, Cab and brake van rides every day

Curry night on Friday, Fish and Chips on Saturday (subject to availability)

and a whole lotta Loco's!

Hi All,

Firstly thank you for your patience and I can now announce our first visitor for the 2026 Autumn Gala as 26043 courtesy of CMDG Ltd and the GWSR.

Small Sulzers are always popular on the Railway where on our steep gradients they will work hard on our 1 in 56 start out of Epping Forest and the 1 in 70 from Ongar.

We can't wait to see 26043 in its newest BR blue guise and hear it doing its thing at the EOR.

Hope to make another visiting loco announcement soon.

Timetables and allocations just waiting final sign off.
