What a brilliant day spent together at Newmarket Racecourses for the DKT Allseas Summer Party!

From the excitement of the racing to catching up with colleagues away from the office, it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate our team's hard work and achievements throughout the year.

The day didn't stop when the racing finished. We were treated to fantastic live performances from Kaiser Chiefs and Scouting For Girls, providing the soundtrack to an unforgettable evening and rounding off a truly great event.

The UK–India Free Trade Agreement is now in force, opening up new opportunities for businesses trading between the two countries.

For many goods, reduced tariffs could make importing or exporting more commercially attractive. However, the agreement does not mean every shipment will automatically qualify for preferential treatment.

Businesses still need to understand the rules of origin, confirm that their goods meet the relevant criteria and complete the correct documentation. UK exporters may also need to register with HMRC before completing origin declarations for goods being sent to India.

A preferential tariff is only useful if the shipment has been prepared correctly and the necessary evidence is available when it reaches customs.

For businesses considering new or increased trade with India, now is a good time to review the whole movement: the tariff position, documentation, shipping service, equipment requirements and final delivery arrangements.
