It is with a heavy heart and much sadness that we must announce the closure of Viscount Travel Limited due to personal reasons and health issues within our family. Unfortunately we are unable to continue operating with all the pressures it involves as well as putting the needs of our family first as they are ultimately, irreplaceable.

Our last day of operation will be Friday 20th February 2026 at the end of the day's service.

We will be contacting private hire customers in due course to arrange alternatives.
We are working closely with other operators to try and secure the continued operation of the 126 service to Ryedale school.

Finally we would like to thank everyone who has travelled with us and supported us with everything we've done from the bottom of our hearts it has meant a great deal to us.
We appreciate this is going to cause inconvenience but please be assured this absolutely is not a decision we have taken lightly, nor is it how we would've wanted it but the health and needs of our family are of the utmost importance.

Any updates with regards to services will be posted here in due course.

To clear up any confusion,
We are not reducing or changing our services next week. We are continuing to run as normal.
The only buses changing are that of East Yorkshire Buses who are in no way connected to us.

It's bitter cold tonight and this bus was sadly in a spot of bother at Allerston (happens to us all from time to time).
As it was a friendly driver we offered to take his 2 passengers on to Pickering at no charge.
Nathan even returned after his shift finished with a nice hot cup of tea for the driver waiting on assistance.

Help will always be given at Viscount to those who deserve it!

The 0840 service 126 from Pickering to Scarborough will be delayed due to Roadworks with temporary traffic lights at Pickering Lidl.
Traffic is backed up all the way to Keld Head. 🤦

Unfortunately the 1510 departure from Scarborough is unable to operate due to a vehicle failure. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Due to a vehicle failure we are unable to run the 1510 from Scarborough. We had hoped to be able to fix the issue and run the journey a little late but unfortunately we need a new part.

Due to snow and worsening road conditions our drivers have said that the 0910 departure will be our last X28 for today as roads are becoming impassible without serious risk to safety and now becoming littered with stuck cars on hills.

Good Morning,
Unfortunately 2 of our 3 drivers are off work quite poorly with COVID, this means there will be some missing services today including the 1920 from Scarborough.
We are trying to keep disruption to a minimum and currently trying to source another driver from elsewhere to assist us for the day.
We hope to get things back to normal ASAP!
