September is officially the new August!

Well… WHAT a month!

September has somehow become our busiest month of the year and we are absolutely loving it!

The vans are basically out more than they’re in… we see them for a few hours each week for a quick clean, a little “how are you doing?” and then WHOOSH off they go again!

Bluey was living her best life in Weymouth last weekend. And yes, you *might* need a fleece when you’re sat outside in the evening, but come on… it’s not winter yet!

And we’re not done yet!

We’ve still got Wales, Scotland and a few secret/TBC locations to tick off this month. So there’s plenty more mileage, sea air and questionable weather ahead!

October is looking pretty darn busy too with all weekends booked but we do still have some midweek availability if an autumnal little escape is calling your name.

Cosy camper, crisp mornings, big walks, pub lunches… sounds pretty good to us!

The kids have been desperate to do another “review” and wanted to a review on our trip we took in Bluey a few weeks ago.

Our last “proper” holiday in Bluey before we sell it seemed a great time to do it.

I completely forgot to post it….

Kids summary…

Swanage is nice with great arcade prizes
Van is comfy
Upstairs loud (we had a epic thunderstorm 🙉)
You can roll down a seat to make a bed
Mussels don’t work as crab bait
Tank museum was boring
Corfe castle was good but a lot of walking

10/10 scores on the doors

Whilst Bluey might be off to a new home (hopefully soon) you can still rent Skyler for Epic adventures like this one 😂😂

Our hirers had an amazing time exploring the north of Scotland in Skyler last week.

Picture 1: Skyler parked up with those incredible coastal views — not a bad spot to stop for a while!

Picture 2: A peaceful seaside stop, with nothing but big skies, open water and time to enjoy the view.

It was their first ever campervan hire and they absolutely loved it! So much so that they’re already planning their next adventure.

We love hearing stories like this — maybe Lil Camper will be part of your first campervan adventure too?

Some campsites are just so special, you almost don’t want to tell anyone about them…
But we were told about this one by a regular guest, and honestly, we couldn’t be more grateful.

We stayed at Norden Farm two years ago, but only for two nights. So when we decided to have a week away this summer, we all agreed there was only one place we wanted to go back to — and this time, we wanted to stay longer.

And we’re SO glad we did.

Norden Farm is a working farm, and the kids absolutely loved being able to see the animals. The peacocks wandering around outside the farm shop were definitely a highlight!

There’s a fishing lake, and normally campfires are allowed too, although sadly they weren’t permitted during our stay this year because of the dry ground.

We requested a pitch in the main field, which meant we could see the park from our van.
For us, this was perfect. The kids could come and go as they pleased, giving them a little more freedom and independence than they get at home.

And in the summer, there are even bands playing on site — which was brilliant!

They have a pop up breakfast trailer every day and each evening there is a themed pop up dinner. The pizza was phenomenal and sold out quickly.

Now, let’s talk about the showers… because these are NOT your usual campsite showers!

They were brilliant. You could control the temperature AND choose how long you wanted your shower to run. It’s the little things!

Location-wise, it’s fantastic too. You can walk to the train station and catch the steam train, or there’s a bus stop right outside the site where you can hop on an open-top bus to Swanage. You can even walk to Corfe Castle.

Honestly, I could talk all day about this campsite.

If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like a proper adventure, gives the kids freedom, has loads to explore and is surrounded by beautiful Dorset countryside… you HAVE to try it.

So, whilst these summer holidays are almost over… don’t rule out a family holiday in a campervan next year!

4 people. 1 campervan. 1 whole week.

Yes, it’s cosy. Yes, you need to think carefully about what — and how — you pack (coming from a family of overpackers, I can confirm 😂.)

But it absolutely works!

And if you’re heading away for more than a couple of nights, we’d definitely recommend adding an awning. It gives you that extra living space for eating, relaxing, playing games and, of course, somewhere to shelter when the British weather decides to make an appearance!

We always offer the option to hire an awning with our campervans from April–September.

So if you’ve been wondering whether a family campervan adventure could work for you… the answer is YES!
