I love the idea of travelling somewhere new and waking up in a different place each morning. What I’ve never been quite so sure about is traditional cruising.

And that’s exactly why I think Virgin Voyages is worth knowing about.

They’ve taken the idea of a cruise and done things a little differently. It’s adults-only, there are no formal nights, and you can dine when and where you want rather than being tied to traditional cruise dining. Even the ships themselves feel much more like a stylish hotel than the cruise experience you might have in your head.

✨ A few luxury travel updates that have caught my eye this month…

It’s a very busy time of year for me — lots of lovely clients planning holidays and researching 2027 trips, all while I’m juggling work alongside the children being on their summer holidays.

Which currently means running a luxury travel business from one laptop while being asked what’s for lunch every 17 minutes. 😂

Somehow, the travel planning is the easier bit! 🤣

So, amongst the holiday requests, school-holiday chaos and ever-growing coffee consumption, here are a few things that have caught my eye…

Gatwick’s expansion plans have been approved, bringing the potential for more long-haul opportunities in the years ahead.

An increase in services means even more choice for journeys across Asia, the Maldives, the Middle East and beyond.

✈️ Manchester continues to impress
Virgin Atlantic’s Manchester network offers some fantastic long-haul options, including New York, Atlanta and Barbados.

🇮🇹 A very exciting hotel opening in Venice…
Hotel Danieli is reopening as Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel. Venice is already an incredible luxury escape, so I’m very intrigued to see what Four Seasons does with this legendary property.

🏝️ And some gorgeous new Mediterranean hotels
I’m seeing more beautiful properties focused on privacy, space, design and genuinely memorable experiences — rather than simply having a five-star rating.

And this is exactly why I love what I do.

There are SO many amazing hotels, airlines and destinations out there, and knowing which ones are genuinely worth your hard-earned holiday budget can make all the difference.

So, while I’m currently balancing luxury travel plans with snacks, lifts and the occasional “Muuuuum, I’m bored!”… 😂
